Ahhh I'm being bombarded with requests from everyone about what Jake wants.
Well, Jake wants whatever is flashing across the tv at any given moment!
Here are somethings he has mentioned:
hot wheels track - I say no. We have 2 and those things are a headache imo. Transformers - again, I say no. they break so easily and really suck imo.
A pillow pet - the penguin Ben 10 watch Anything Bakugan Remote control truck (I've been planning on getting this) Zhu zhu pets (I know nothing about these) Scooter - 3 wheels - my MIL said she is getting this rubber, bead filled dinos from Target - his teacher is getting these Games for his DS - Lego Star Wars or Lego Batman, Mario Party, Bowser's Inside Story
movies:
toy Story 1 Osmosis Jones (hello, old) Ponyo (ugh - that movie is crazy train)
I'm thinking Mario Kart for the Wii would be super fun. Not sure DH would be on board - he is sorta anti-video game right now.
What are your almost 5 year olds asking for and what are you planning to get them?
Gavin was so easy this year. He wanted the smaller version of the Devastator Transformer. So that's what we got him. He is also into Iron Man, Batman and they got this set with Stretch and Batman and one other guy and they both love Stretch.
They have ninja zhu zhu pets now - my boys totally want those. They are just like Jake though - anything on the TV. They want pillow pets now too but they already had their birthday party.
Kyle hasn't asked for much, other than a dinosaur cake and Super Mario Bros for the Wii. Oh, and to have his party at this indoor inflatable playground place (think bounce houses).
I'm not sure yet about the game...he played it when we lived with SIL for awhile, and he always seemed to get frustrated with it.
I already bought him a dino game for his Leapster awhile back, so he'll get that if I can remember where I packed it (oops!) We'll also get him a bike. I'm sure my family will be spoiling him with all sorts of other toys, so that will be it from us.

Lucas plays video games like a teenager and he cannot play Super Mario for the Wii. I even have trouble with it LOL

Jake plays it with DH once or twice a week and one of them is always frustrated and/or yelling.
That is why I was thinking about getting Mario Kart - maybe it would actually be fun!?!?
Owen does great with Super Mario Brothers on the Wii. He is quite obsessed. He also does well with the version for the DS.
As far as what he is getting, he asks for random things. Magic Wand, Blue Jays hat, anything Super Mario Brothers, there is nothing really big on his list.
Mason got a Pillow Pet, a plush Buzz and Woody that were $5 each at Kohl's, a couple of Cars cars that he didn't already have (because I'm ridiculous), some sand toys because we went to the beach on his bday, and a Toy Story bowling set. His "big" present was a basketball hoop, and my mom got him a new bike.
Kiera is getting a bike, if we can find the time to go buy it and put it together. I also got her a gyrowheel, so hopefully learning to ride wont be a nightmare.
I have a couple of things stashed for her - some sparkly shoes, a new tag book (though she is reading now, I think I shouldnt have kept that stashed...). Gnu (like Zingo only with three letter words).
She is just now into zhu zhu pets. She has a knock off my mom got her and she carries it everywhere loving on it. I have considered getting her another.
