Father's Day

I was just wondering what everyone is doing for their DH's (and/or their own Dad's) for Father's Day since it is right around the corner.

My husband likes grilling but lately it has been TOO hot here (we are breaking record temps here at 102!) So I thought I would get him an indoor grill.... I ordered it from Amazon and of course now it says it won't be here until the middle- end of July.
So I might need to think of another idea and just save it for our anniversary in August.

For my Dad I think I am going to frame a picture of our whole family from when we had a family reunion in April. It is him with his mom and all five of his siblings with their kids and grandkids. He has seen the picture on facebook but hasn't gotten around to printing off a copy for himself.

I have no ideas for my father-in-law... I am just SO over that side of the family after they borrowed money for "groceries" and then turned around and used it to buy surround sound and other stuff like that. (They did pay us back) FIL didn't have anything to do with it but it was his wife so.... I guess I have to do something because DH always leaves that kind of stuff to me.

No idea. If he is in this weekend I'm sure we will go out to eat and see a movie. Maybe see toy story 3 since I know that's what he would want to do.LOL

I don't know.

Glen's birthday was last week so I just got him 2 pair of shorts that he requested. I have a $10 off of $10 purchase from JCP so I may go get him a golf shirt or something.

Last year I made my dad a fudge marble cake for Father's Day--that's his favorite--so I may do that again.

We had a big celebration a couple weeks ago for Glen's side of the family--3 birthdays + Father's Day so we're good there.

No clue what to do for my dad. I wasn't even here for mother's day so I didn't get my mom anything. I'll probably just get him a card from the kids with some lottery tickets LOL.

Quint did not even have the kids call me on Mother's Day so the childish part of me wants to not even acknowledge it (especially because his birthday is tomorrow and I am having Nikki make a cake and I got him a card and I'm going to get him a book or something from the kids) but I will take the high road and at least get a card. I took a nice picture of the three kids last night at Nikki's graduation so maybe I will give him a copy of that.

I had Andrew design a mug online with pics of himself that says Happy Father's Day. He was able to keep his mouth shut for like a month. Then, when we finally got it, he ran right to Daddy with it. So, that's been opened. I will have Andrew make him a card. Steve works nights this month, so he'll sleep 'til like 1:30 on Sunday, and then we'll have lunch here before he gets ready for work. Not much really.

Alex found out he is diabetic about 8 months ago and he has been losing a lot of weight so we got him some clothes and a couple of FIFA world cup shirts.

Marcos got him some perfume because he likes "how his dad smells".

I am SO ANNOYED because Kate, who was doing a great job at keeping it a secret, blurted out to Bill the other night that we got him a hammock for Father's Day. ARGH.

We are getting Bill a hammock for Father's Day, lol. We got him this one.

For my FIL? Maybe some oysters or something. Or a big thing of cheeseballs from the girls. He loves those kinds of gifts. That, and he likes when people do some of his projects for him, but Bill would have to head that up, and he fo sho isn't doing that right now-he is way too busy with work right now.

For my dad? NO clue. Seriously. IDK. Maybe a GC to go out to eat. But when he wants something, he gets it. He is tough to buy for.

LOLZ, so cute!

I told Mason the other day that this weekend is Father's Day and we will do something special for Daddy.  He said "Shh!  Peepers, don't tell Daddy!"

I got him a new GPS since his is pretty much fried.  I'm going to propose that we go to the San Diego County Fair this weekend, but I don't want to plan on it because he is always hit or miss on weekend outings.
