Being the slacker this year, I am just now getting around to figuring out what's what for E's birthday.  I really haven't found anything too exciting for her birthday present.  I am also looking for some sort of park shelter or place to have her party because I don't want to have to worry about my house.

So what are you getting your birthday child or what did you get him/her?  Where are you having your party?

I told my parents to get him a bike and his father to get him a TAG Reader (although I might change my mind because he reads by himself like a champ now). I don't know what I'm gonna get him. I'll probably do little things like a baseball bat and tee, helmet for his bike etc.

We aren't doing any kind of party with kids not sure if we are even doing a family thing at this point we usually just decide that the weekend before and do it at my moms.

We are having Ks party at the shark reef aquarium on the strip.

I did not want to have to clean up after a party this time.

I just have no clue what Im going to fill my 1hr 30 min in the party room with other than cake and presents since the kids ages will vary quite a bit and there are fish and stuff in the room.

We got Brittany a scooter, an engine to go with the Thomas trains, a ball, and something else I can't remember. We're not having a party for her.

We had Mason's party at Chuck E. Cheese.  Fun for all, and no clean up!

We got him a Pillow Pet (from Peepers), a basketball hoop, and some random little toys, and my mom got him a bike and helmet.  My mom and I took him to the beach on his birthday too.

I have no idea what we are getting Hannah, except for a pillow pet, because she's been harping about it since Thanksgiving. I may get her some outfits for her American Girl, because I finally gave her mine from when I was 5... We're still really into barbies, LPS, Ponyvilles, and her new thing is Strawberry Shortcake, so we'll be at no loss of options there.

For her party, I've changed about a million times, but I've actually booked stuff now, so it will not be changing anymore, especially since I'm putting the final touches on her invitation. She's having a Fancy Nancy party - we'll have a dessert bar here (which is exciting for me because I'm never allowed to host here anymore, lol. Joe hates it.) and then she's going with 6 of her girlfriends to a salon and getting their hair, nails, and a light makeup (glitter and lipgloss). I may let her have a friend stay over, but probably not, because I'm exhausted just thinking about it, lmao.

Marcos wanted to have his birthday with his school friends.  We ended school on May 17 so I had his birthday party on May 14.  It was a Toy Story party.  Out of his 24 classmates, 22 came to the party.  They had so much fun!!!! I have not put on pictures because i wanted to wait until his actual birthday.

They played a lot and he really had a wonderful birthday.  The only problems is that now my family wants to celebrate on June 27 an he keeps saying that they now have to wait until he turns 6...

connor wants a farm themed party, complete with horse/pony rides.

if i wasn't due 2 weeks earlier, i would be all over that.

unfortunately, i have zero motivation to have a bunch of kids at my house, not to mention a horse, with a 2 week old in tow.

i hope he isn't disappointed, but i am only inviting 5 kids (all cousins). there won't be a horse. but it will be a farm theme and i will try to have a super fun cake and goody bags.

i got him some giant dinosaur at targets after xmas sale and he will get that as his gift.

Owen wants a Super Mario party so that will be his theme. We will have his and Keegan's party together though I will have some Yo Gabba Gabba things for Keegan.

It will just be family and a few friends.

As far as presents not sure what we are getting him from us. But we have sat down and he has been working on a birthday list coming up with ideas of things he wants so that helps.

My kids are begging for a super marios party theme too!!! OMG theyre obsessed with it LOL  I just hope Party city has good selections for the party (I'm having their party on the 4th at oma's house on the lake).

Re: leapsters.... which type of leapster would be great for the age 3 and 5?  (like the nintendon ds thingy) I see regular and then leapster 2 and I have no idea which one to choose.  I'm getting another TAG reader pen because Van is always wanting to use it and they have to take turns which they usually accept and will share but for those nights where they can both read their own books, i prefer to have 2.  Ava can read but still some long words she needs more prax with.

I know Birthday Express has Mario

We just have the regular leapster it was from Bryce.

Owen does awesome with the DS he got his own for Christmas. Before that he had been playing with Bryce's.

how old was owen when he first started playing with the DS? I'm trying to figure out if Van is too young for it.  The only problem with them being so close in age and bdays one week apart that they like almost the same things so once in a while I get two of this or that.  They usually have their own toys and such but when it comes to games or tag readers they both want it.

We are going to Pump it Up. It's an indoor bounce house place.

I still haven't mailed out the invites, and just got a partical list from his teacher today for the kids in his class. All I asked for was a class list so I could mail out the invites to the kids we were going to invite. Like what we had during the regular year. Nope, she announces to everyone that they need to sign up for Andrew's birthday party. Great!!!

There was a new kid there today who spent the whole time I was there yelling, talking mean, hitting his mother and throwing a tantrum. Umm....No way is that kid being invited. Steve says that his invite will get lost in the mail and to not stess about it. There are also 15-17 kids signed up for summer school. I can't invite that many kids. There is a limit of 25 kids (or pay $10 per kid over), and between other friends and cousins, I can't invite them all.
Now I feel stuck.

We aren't doing much for presents. I got some Bakugaun at K-Mart that were on clearance and then all their clearance toys were 50% off. At the same time I also got some moon sand. I got some cool Hot Wheeles at the 99cent store, that Andrew found the other night. So no surprise there. He loves the Pillow Pet ads on the TV, but IDK if we'll get him one. I'm sure that we'll pick him up a few more things before his b'day.

What he really wants is a "Water Park" he saw at Sam's Club. It costs $600. LOL!!!! He said he'd be willing to sell his broken toys to pay for it.

Owen pretty much started playing it the same time we got Bryce a DS which was Christmas 08 so he would've been 3 1/2 at the time.  He caught on super quick and really that year should've got him that instead of more leapster games.  The leapster still gets played but very rarely.

They love to text back and forth on their DS's as well. They can draw pictures or if I am messing with it I will write things to Owen and do very simple addition stuff.

Anna is having 2 parties, lol. We always have a party for family and our close friends, so that will be the 26th at my ILs farm. She wanted it there because they have a pool. Then she started asking if some of her school friends could come. Wellll...I didn't really want to do that. First of all, our family parties start in the evenings, include dinner, often crabs at this time of year, and they go on forever. Fine for us, but not so appealing to people who don't know anyone there. Second, *I* don't even know half of these people-and have only met the kids a handful of times, so I would feel like I had to entertain them, and I have enough to do at these gatherings. So we decided to have a second party for her on her actual birthday (the 23rd). She wanted it at Pump it Up, but we didn't want to pay for that, since we have the expenses of the other party to think about. (Bill's family is large, so it costs a fair amount in food and alcohol for these shin digs) My parent's community has a really nice park which is right on the beach, and you can reserve it for free for parties. So they reserved the park for next Wednesday afternoon and we invited her school friends to that-just from 2-4pm. The kids can run around and play or go swimming at the beach, I can just bring snacks and cupcakes and drinks, and Anna is thrilled.

As for gifts-she is getting a play Disney palace for small figurines (that sucker was expensive!!), a plush Alice in Wonderland, some of those mini Barbie toys (she loves those things, oddly enough) and Kate picked out a Strawberry Shortcake toy, which she is also into. And some Ariel squirt guns as well. Oh and a plush Flounder since she already has Ariel and Sebastian. She is WAY into stuffed animals-always has been.

She can't stop talking about it-she is beyond excited to be having 2 parties!!!

I am usually SUPER excited about planning parties but I'm just not that into it this year for some reason, I guess a lot of it has to do with Lucas' impending appointment to see a specialist about this eyes and the 5 hour drive (just one way) and just not knowing what is going on if we'll have to travel back and forth to Atlanta for some sort of procedure and all that fun stuff. It makes planning a PITA.

That being said it will be pretty low key and much smaller than usual. School is out so there are no school friends to invite and Lucas' friends before school have moved away and so have most of his cousins. I think we'll probably end up doing a pool party at my parents' house (they have a big backyard and an inground pool with a slide and diving board. We are going a Phineas and Ferb Backyard beach theme.

I'm not totally sure what his birthday present will be. I'm thinking about getting him the new Toy Story game for his leapster but beyond that no big plans

We are having Dominic's party at this place here that has bunch of attractions like bowling, mini golf, etc. I am getting all the kids bracelets to go inside this thing, it is like a huge play area, with slides, balls, etc. And it includes food and drink and we don't have to set up or clean up. He is only having his cousins and a couple of my friends kids. We wanted to do it at Pump It Up with all his friends from school but we just couldn't afford it this year. But it will be fun where we have it. He is having a fire truck theme and the only stuff he really wants is this Transforming EVE from Wall-E, he has the Wall-E and I can only find it on ebay so I will have to order it. He also wants a wind up robot that he saw at the Exploratorium that I will have to order online too. Other than that, I am not sure, he is really hard to buy toys for!
