At Henry's art camp, there are 25 campers--3 of which are boys.

He's the oldest boy.

I don't think he minds; he's been having fun.

There is a simultaneous computer camp, and there are 4 or 5 boys from his grade participating in that.

Computer camp sounds like work to me, and art camp sounds like fun.

Howdy!

It looks like it has been busier than usual here. biggrin

I am going shopping this morning to look for a top to go with some black pants I have.  I am actually going to be a grown up tonight and attend a business dinner party with my dh.  I hope I remember how to talk to people without saying things like whoopsie, owie, criss cross apple sauce, and other child lingo.

I also need to stop by the grocery store and get the stuff to make my southwestern pasta salad and knock off cherry cheese cake torte.

Tracy and LL I hope you find you are feeling less tired soon.  That is the pits, especially when you are having nausea.

Robin you are good.  If you ever decide to not be so good you could start your own list on your fridge of the things your mother does that you will never do to your children.

I bought Mark some moonsand.

He really likes it, and it's fun but I wasn't expecting such a HUGE mess.

Now it's an outside activity.

I want to go get some ice cube trays from the dollar store to use with it.

It came with brick molds--one really small and one small and flat.

You should of asked me first.LOL  I got so tired of sweeping up moonsand that I put it outside.  Plus she mixed all the colors and now it doesn't look very good.

Do you have the little inflatable thing?? I highly recommend it for sand containment and storage LOL

I am less busy at work now.

I got tons done but I think I am actually way too efficient which is why I am always bored and lacking something to do.

Joe really really wants me to look for another job. I'm kind of torn and don't know what to do.

I officially stopped smoking today (don't judge, I had barely been smoking just couldn't bring myself to stop completely)

And by stopped I mean I have no more and promised Joey I was done when I was out (he however has made no attempt to quit despite the promise that we would do it together). I don't have money for them anyway. It was way easier to quit with Lucas for some reason.

for those of you who hate the mess of moonsand, what i have done that works well is clean out the water table and fill that with moonsand. atleast that is what we do in the winter...we rotate between moon sand and insta snow during the winter (inside) and then bring it outside and fill it with water in the summer.

Good morning!

We sold our sand and water table at our last garage sale.

The two things my kids liked to do with it were:

1. Mark would put water in the deep side, then climb up and get in it. Now he's too big to do that.

2. Both kids would take it apart and use the pieces to add to a made-up fort. I got tired of seeing random pieces of it everywhere.

I think I'm going to suck it up and call my mom today.

Just because she's mental and holds a grudge doesn't mean that I should.

It's only bringing me down.

Good for you, be the bigger person!!!

My mom is at the very top of my sh!t list. She said some things about me to my brother which he then repeated to his ex wife, and she told me.  I can't even call her on it because of the circle it went through it will get everyone involved mad at each other.

I need to go shower. I have a few errands to do this morning so I am going into work late and therefore don't want to do anything right this minute. I need to not dilly dally though or I will end up later then I planned. But my couch is so comfy right now.

What is insta snow?

only the funnest stuff ever! ;)

it is a powder you can usually buy at educational toy stores. you add water to it and it makes snow. it looks like a tiny packet when you open the box, but you add a few gallons of water and you have a huge amount--enough to fill a medium sized water table. it doesn't melt and when the water dissolves out, the powder is left behind...so you can either add more water and reuse or just vacuum or sweep it up.
