poor baby, it's all he knows. cry

But praise God that he's such a fighter that it doesn't scare him!  Mikey is awesome heart.gif

that's a kinda good way to look at it smile

I have to try to see the good in every bad.  Otherwise, it makes me a miserable person, and I don't like feeling like that.

As bad as I think I have it, there are people WAY worse than me and they're happy.  I just have to keep in mind that I'm never alone smile

My kids love lots of songs from the K-Love radio station (Christian music) but their favorites are the ones that talk about blood.

Crazy kids.

"Nothin' but the blood" is one of our old VBS soundtracks and "Are You Washed in the Blood?" (I think that's what it's called . . . on the Alan Jackson cd).

Henry also really likes "A New Hallelujah" by Michael W. Smith.

I just asked Mark if he had a favorite song, and he shook his head no.

Mark and I just got home from the zoo.

There was a forecast of thunderstorms all day but it was BEAUTIFUL all morning and afternoon so far.

Now it's really dark, cloudy, and windy outside.

Fingers crossed that it doesn't start pouring down rain until Henry is home safe and sound.

p.s. ONLY ONE MORE DAY OF FOURTH GRADE!!!!!!!

I DVR'd it, haven't watched it yet

I REALLY need to set my DVR to record new Criminal Minds episodes on CBS. It records all the old ones on ION and that other channel that shows constant reruns.

Jennifer - When do you plan to watch it? Give me about 6 hours notice so I can watch too, K?

Henry, Mark, Chad, and John-David are playing in the trampoline.

I invited JD to stay for dinner so now I need to think of something to cook.

Chad has to be home at 5:30.

We're out of milk, butter, hot dogs, buns, bacon, canned veggies.

Hmmmm.

I was thinking breakfast for dinner but we have no bacon or ham or pork chops.

I have some browned sausage in the freezer so I could do a hashbrown casserole with that but my own kids wouldn't eat it.

We don't have enough noodles for spaghetti plus we have no ground beef.

What was I thinking?

I REALLY need to go to the grocery store.

Plus I told John-David's mom not to come until 7 so I'm going to miss Zumba. What was I thinking?

I decided to make cinnamon rolls as a special treat for breakfast this morning but didn't realize they took 29 minutes to bake.

I just put them in the oven, and Henry needs to get up at 7.

Maybe I'll let him sleep an extra 10 minutes.

It is jester day at pre-k today and we are supposed to have coached them into being able to tell an appropriate joke. I'm not sure how it will go for Joe, he will probably forget the one we worked on and he will make his own up and it just wont be funny.

Songs my kids love right now are just the ones from Joe's spring sing (Yankie Doodle, Grand Old Flag, My Country 'Tis of Thee, This is Our Land) they both sing them constantly in the car or at home or round the store...constantly. One of the songs from the show was something called Kowledge is Power, and it is hilarious to me that Bel at 2 goes round singing 'knowledge is power, I know what I know.  The more you learn the further you go...'

Aside from those Joe loves anything that has a distinct sound.  He caught the tail end of Men in Black the other day and was bopping round to Will Smith.

Bel loves the Milkshake Song I think it is by Ann-Marie Aikin.  We do a library program every week called Shake Rattle and Roll and it is so fun (I think I may enjoy as much as B  does)

So I finished book one audio of Pecy Jackson yesterday.

and was WAY to impatient to wait for book 2 to come interlibrary loan.

So, I bought 2-4.  Read 2 last night, onto 3.

Yeah, I'm cool like that.  Reading pre-teen books and all ;)

Love the Percy Jackson books.  I just started on his new book The Red Pyramid, I'm loving it so far.

Morning!!!!

I have a super busy day today. I'm working and then I have a ton to do at home including packing for me and Lucas and picking up my rental car. I haven't decided whether or not to go up to MA tonight or go first thing in the morning and Joey won't commit to a choice either LOL. Oh and Travis is coming to have dinner at my house.

I may actually be too tired to drive 2 hours tonight. Hmmmmm but I love getting extra time. Yeah I cannot decide.

We have SO much to do, we leave for Boston tomorrow early morning.

I'm in denial.

I think we will have fun though, such a good change of pace.

Now if inly my laundry would magically wash itself

I have no time, but have to run to the store.

Tristen needed some play shirts, so I picked up a few ts at Target.  Koda didn't need any, so I didn't get him any.

Apparently, the bug shirts are the coolest thing ever and how could I not inlcude him.

Whatever kid, I'll go pick up your $4 of cheap T shirt pleasure.
