LL, man, you have enough to deal with without 5's craziness.

How stressful.

I'd start keeping a good record and I think talking to the police is the right thing to do at this point.

Be strong. You are an amazing woman and you can't let that crazy man hurt you anymore.

How old is Nikki now?

She is 17.5 and a senior in High School. The police basically said there is nothing at all that he can do despite the fact that I am not technically her legal guardian and that they could see without even trying that my home is safe and my kids are clean and taken care of (Lucas was all in their face while they were here LOL).  He is just a tool and saw Joey and I together Friday which apparently was more then his crazy bipolar brain could handle.

5 years ago I was 3 1/2 months into my 5 1/2 month long bed rest stretch. I was able to sit up most of the day by that point but couldn't do much. It sucked big time.

Last night I made a list of things that I need to get done. It's super long. I'm not really in a hurry to get it done. With school and dance done for a while I can stretch it out if I like. And I like.

funny josie quotes from the weekend:

"this isn't the highway! See the clouds? you can't have clouds on highway so it isn't a highway!"

Jo: "I'm scared of Isaac (the dog) because he hates my shirt."
Me: "Your spiderman shirt?"
Jo: "No, of course not! He's a boy! He loves spiderman! My blue shirt."

WOW

Meeting was good but it's always weird/sad to see on paper that your kid requires so much help. He is going to have 2.5 hours of regular special ed services per week (30 minutes/day) 45 minutes of OT, 60 minutes of speech (split into 2 sessions) and will be working with the psychologist too. The total shocker is that are giving him a full time aide, meaning he has someone shadowing him at all times just for him. I didnt think this was gonna be necessary but they decided in a class so big with his bad points surrounding transitioning activities and needing motor breaks that he needed someone to be able to handle all of that. I'm really glad we have such an amazing school system.

LL- I'm sure it is always hard to hear the differences, but it sounds like your school system is being so supportive of Lucas.

5 years ago (this past weekend) was my baby shower. heart.gif

i was enormous and swollen and still planning on a natural birth (which ended up being a c/s).

i still had 4+ weeks of teaching left even though i could barely put my shoes on. i rolled around in an office chair in my classroom all day.

around this time 5 years ago was also when a student supposedly put lotion on the floor of my classroom to try to get me to slip in it.

fun times.

(((hugs)))

I'm so excited that they have a stellar system in place, though. He's really going to thrive, mama!

Argh - itu. Joe is SUPER guilty of doing that too... and he doesn't even space out the snooze for 30 minutes. Its every 9 minutes for at least an hour. Just get up when it goes off, or here's a crazy idea - set it for when you want to get out of bed!!! Boys!

5 years ago, I was getting ready to quit my job with a great deal of guilt. Hated the place I worked, but really attached to the families. I was also probably painting Hannah's room for the first time, and putting together the nursery since we'd been living here for about 2 months at that time.

 yep every 9 effing minutes.

he hits snooze and I kid you not is back fast asleep in 18 seconds or less.

Me, I'm on the other side of the bed cussing him under (sometimes not under) my breath, flopping madly from front to back and side to side just to cause a ruckus in the bed.  He snoozes on.

This morning after it went off for the 5th time I turned on the lights and TV and looked him square in the still sleeping face and said HOW ABOUT WE JUST WATCH SOME TV?!?!?! furious

The school system is awesome and his preschool teacher and I were laughing over who was gonna cry harder on his last day - me or her LOL. I am really glad I have formed a personal relationship with her outside of school (her son and Travis and go to school together) because I would miss her like crazy.

Given the events of this weekend I don't plan on being on being in this condo long (I cannot live in the same complex as 5 once Joey moves in, it will be torture) but I have to make sure I stay in this elementary school's district because I am excited about all the wonderful people he will be working with. (I am sure the other town schools are just as good but these teachers have been discussing Lucas and planning for him for over 6 months).
