Morning.

Where did you go on your last trip out of town?

Was it for business/pleasure?

Did you go with your family/girlfriends/self?

p.s. Happy Mother's Day!

The last time I went out of town was when I was a chaperone for Henry's church choir trip.

We went to Huntsville, AL to sing at a couple places there and to visit the Space Museum.

I suppose it was for pleasure.

We spent two nights sleeping on the floor in a church.

I went with 10 kids--one of which was mine--and 7 adults.

I had the WEIRDEST dream last night.

I dreamed that I adopted a little Chinese girl named Helen.

It was really sudden, and after I got home with her, I realized that she was supposed to start kindergarten the next day.

So I left her with my mom and went to the store to get her school supplies and clothes.

Then I started to wonder if she could talk or speak English.

Mark and I were playing with her and kissing her cheeks, and she said, "I get lots of kisses!"

After that, the whole family (including my parents) all got in one huge car to go out to eat or shopping or somewhere and when I saw all the parents standing around outside, I realized that the first day of kindergarten had started, and I'd forgotten to take either Mark or Helen.

Plus somewhere in the dream, I went to Glen's work (which was a bar??) and said something like that, "I need to tell you something, and it's better if I just say it. I just adopted a baby."

Then I left.

Sooooo strange.

Good morning!

I finished our school year at about 10:45 last night after completing the last of the student damage billing.   All i need to do is turn in paperwork by 10am Monday morning and I can sign off on the year.

So glad it is done.

I feel like I need to post a picture of the crap the students left behind.  Maybe I'll drag out my camera cord in a bit.  Ridiculous.

And those are just the students that bother to donate it.  Much ends up in the dumpster.  A student group will take all the donations and have a ginormous yard sale with proceeds given to charity.

I'm drowning in crap right now though.

These do it NO justice.  First one goes all the way back to the windows, probably in total 40 garbage bags filled with stuff piled waist high.

The floor you see isn't there anymore.  More stuff came after this pic.

Need cleaning supplies?

Happy Mother's Day!

The last trip I took was to Ohio to see family.  We viisited my mom, my dad, dh's sister, and dh's mom.  It was busy but good.

Robin, that was certainly an interesting dream.  Have you thought about adopting a Chinese baby?

Supergrover, congratulations on surviving student departure.  That is nuts how much stuff is left.  I hope the billing and whatever else is left goes smoothly for you.

Nice day so far. We went out to a diner for breakfast and then out to Mike's parent's place. Sat around and chatted while the kids played and then drove back into town.

Picked up lobster for dinner tonight at my mom's (the fishermen sell them on the side of the road for $5 a lb).

The kids are "napping" right now. Both are very tired for some reason so I hope they fall asleep.

And then we're going to my mom's for supper. I'm getting ready to make a potato salad to eat with the lobster. I have to get a list for Mike to bring to the store.

Actually, I think I'll go take a bath and read a trashy romance novel. That sounds like the perfect thing to do right now.

Happy Mother's day everyone!!

A good morning here so far. The kids and I made some stepping stones for the garden this morning and everyone seems to be behaving themselves for once. Joe is out playing with play dough in the courtyard and B is watching Dora.

I think we will go eat Italian for lunch. It is against my principles to eat out any kind of food that I am capable of cooking myself at home but I'm probably going to order something with a seafood theme that no one else would like.

Oh and to the question, the last trip I took out of town was to Disneyland. It was a good trip but the kids pretty much screamed at each other all the way home and dh ended up in hospital the night we got back for severe dehydration cause he was chugging coffee and no water all day cause we had a long drive.

Happy Mother's Day, ladies!!!

Where did you go on your last trip out of town?

My niece's college about 2.5 hours away.

Was it for business/pleasure?

Definately pleasure - her bachelorette party. Nothing makes you feel old like partying with girls in their early 20s. I have *no* idea how they do that 2 days a week, every week. Wowzers.

Did you go with your family/girlfriends/self?

I rode up and stayed in a hotel with my middle sister and one of our besties... and met up with about 60 others, lol. It was insanity.

Good afternoon. Great day here so far. And I didn't clean the bathroom last night and came home from church to a sparkling clean bathroom. Love my hubby!

I'm feeling much better about today than I was yesterday. Church was great -- met a new friend with a 5 year old. I never branch out but we clicked really easily and it was really nice. Had a great lunch (breakfast foods) waiting for me when I got home and then got to veg out and take a nap. Nice day.

Last trip? I cannot even remember. Maybe going to California? I don't even know. OMG, when I say that now it reminds me of a AFV video of a lady who just got out of the dentist. So funny.
