Figured we could combine since we forget some days!

What are your big summer project plans?  Home improvement?  Planning an adventure with the kiddos?  Other?

Gardening is our biggest summer project by far.  I can't wait to reclaim my windows.  We have seedlings sprouting in every single one.

Maybe moving?  We'll see how Thursday goes.  Travis meets with the board at 6:45pm (they are a volunteer board for the school, so they meet after-hours).

Another long week for the Allen household, lol!

Morning to-do:  Pick up the apartment so that babysitter isn't tempted to call DHS.  Dishes.  Find my new sneakers to wear.  Dress and otherwise ready children for the day.  Cook lunch for the babysitter to feed them.

Work to-do:  Not thinking about it.  Might vomit.

Ready......Ugh.....Go!

Good morning!

My summer is crazy already, just the first few weeks.

My niece was planning an August wedding, but found out her df has to be at training for his deployment for the Air Force for the day of their wedding, so they moved it to July. Then her dad found out he's deploying the week before that and wouldn't be here to walk her down the aisle, so they bumped it up to June.

Anyways, just that weekend alone, we have a rehearsal dinner on Thursday, my nephew's graduation on Friday, the wedding Saturday, and my nephew's graduation party on Sunday.

My nephew's baby is due, my cousin is visiting for the first time in about 10 years, and lots of birthdays and stuff!

Summer plans: My girls will do dance, Brenna and Brittany and Kyle want to do gymnastics, Kyle will continue his tae kwon do through June and take July and August off. We're thinking of getting swimming passes since swim lessons are crazy expensive this year. The first weekend in June is a festival we always go to. My mom is coming to visit the 3rd week in June. The middle of July we're going to fil's for a week so Rebecca can take some classes with the Colorado Ballet Academy. Then there's always the parades and things we always go to in July.

Home plans: I have to find a handy man to do a few things in my house. I've got a spot in the ceiling that has needed done since we redid our roof 2 years ago plus a leaky faucet, a leaky garbage disposal, and a leaky outdoor faucet that need fixed. I'd do the ceiling myself but I never seem to have the time.

I don't really have any big projects to do this summer. I'm going to concentrate on keeping my garden alive. I'm not sure how much good it will do with the deer eating everything in sight, but I'm sure going to try. Already half my tomatoes are dead because my cats keep eating/sitting on them.

It is super quiet in here lately.

Dh has an interview today at 1.

It would keep us here for 4 years. But I dont think we would hear back for a few months. There is also another job coming up here that dh would like if they offer it to him.

Decisions decisions.

one of our summer plans is to bust into the camping scene!

We have purchased a tent and have accumulated most things we need to make it happen.  Now we just have to get up the nerve to go!  It will be lots of work but lots of fun I'm sure!

I'm hoping that isn't what happens with us - it "sounds" fun but turns out to be so stressful that we go once and that's it.

My DH said "we have to take my sister."  Of course I agree b/c it would be nice having an extra set of eyes and hands for the kiddos on our first outing but then he adds "because you can't do all that stuff."  Like he's doubting my ability to camp!  But honestly I don't blame him - I went last year with some girls from work and I turned out to be much more girly than I thought I was!

there has been a cardinal pecking on Jake's window for over a week trying to get in!  When he leaves Jake's window he goes to our window.  So weird.  He will not go away.  I think I might buy some of those cling things to put on the window before he beats his brains out!

I have 2 chocolate chip cookies in the oven.

I'm trying to be productive today.

I've packed up the business records for 2009 and moved them to the attic and am working to get a jump on 2010 so I'm not racing like a headless chicken next april.

And I'm checking into our homeowner's insurance - comparing new quotes to what we have and adding flood insurance.  Who knew you could only get flood ins from the gov't?  After seeing what happened in TN DH wants to add it.   Just like the earthquake ins. we added a couple of years ago.

I really hate insurance and would hate to know what we pay total in life, health, dental, auto, business, home premiums each year.   But I guess I would hate it more if we didn't have it and something happened.

I don't understand you raw cookie dough people.  I'm frightened of raw eggs!

The kids sell these tubs of Otis Spunkmeyer for daycare and they are awesome!!
