Tristen lasted exactly one minute. Between the dark, all the kids with light sticks, and the loud music- little dude flipped out. I spent the next two hours watching a movie with him in the van while Koda and Travis watched the circus. Awesome, lol.
This weekend I have a million and one things I want to get done including swtiching out some of the boys winter clothes, moving their dresser, and purging a lot of clutter...but I'm trying to see if I can even get my unmotivated butt to the grocery for some very needed food.
I did go to Aldi's when there was a lull in the storm, but once I got there, I realized that I didn't have any cash.
I didn't know if they took anything else so I just walked around and wrote down prices on my price list.
Then on my way out, I asked what forms of payment they take--cash, debit, or food stamps.
Robin, we bought most of our staple foods at Aldis when we were in Ohio. I so wish we had them here. I was always happy with the quality of their brand, and the prices were really good for the things we bought.
We're waiting for friends to call so we can go meet them for a walk or something. I just paid bills and am now sitting here, showered but in my bathrobe, waiting for energy to get moving.
Steve and I have been sick this weekend. I was up late last night from sleeping so much yesterday. Thank the Lord, Andrew doesn't have this. He's at the neighbors' house playing with their 4 y.o. nephew. His K assesment is Tues. Really hoping he's not sick for that.
I should be cleaning. Steve is sleeping, he has to work tonight. I just popped on to do some banking. Been working on the budget for May. I am trying to figure out how to turn $700 into $1500. Don't see how that's gonna happen. Really, Really hoping that our tax refund shows up soon!

I need to turn in the forms for the kids' "camp" weeks at Henry's school this summer.
Henry is going to Art Camp, and Mark is going to Kindergarten Camp.
I super-love the idea of K Camp.
This summer is the first time they'll have it, and Miss Teacher--[remember her? Henry's super-amazing, no-one-could-ever-measure-up-to-her, we love her more than anything Kindergarten teacher]--is the teacher of it along with Mrs. B--, who is also a really sweet K teacher.
Both camps are the same week from 8:30 to 11:30. Maybe I can coordinate a breakfast or brunch date with somebody.

After I went to Aldi's to check out their prices, I went by Walmart Neighborhood Market because we really needed milk and eggs plus I wanted a candy bar.
I was pleasantly surprised to see the parking lot was mostly empty but then I saw the employee standing outside with a sign "Power Out. Sorry."
So I went to Kroger.
Kroger was PACKED, and I mentioned to the cashier that they were really busy for some reason.
