Hi! Gavin and I have a church activity today from 1-3. Then I HAVE to do my emissions test for my car, and I also need to pick up my contacts. And it just so happens that store is right next to Old Navy so I am going to pop in. I love losing weight but now I don't have any shorts that fit. I am hoping I can find a pair of their $15 shorts that I like. Then I have to run and grab some groceries. At some point I also need to clean this messy house.

And tomorrow is our 7th anniversary! Crazy how time flies.

I made a small dent in the cleaning of my house . . . then my family came home from the store.

We're having strange weather.

It's really windy, and it was thunder-storming but now the sun is shining really brightly but the wind is still ferocious. There have been tornadoes in several surrounding counties but nothing here.

Hello! My sole job today is to keep the kids out of Travis's hair so he can wrap up two huge projects for class.

So far...not doing so well, but to my defense it has all been things beyond my control...mostly.

We've already gone shopping, gone to a playground (that is actually two playgrounds in one), gone bike riding, and in about 40 minutes I am going to take them to play at their preschool playground until bedtime.

The kids still have tons of energy. The sun has pooped me out :)

My grandma is in town! Yay!!

The boys and I just got home from my parents' house so we could visit with her (and my Uncle Rick who drove her here).

Grandma brought bakugan keychains for the boys and some sort of dessert(??) for me.

Then I played spades with Grandma, Uncle Rick, and my dad.

My dad and I were partners.

I almost started a new chat thread but then remembered this one was "weekend".

We're all ready for church but it's about 10 minutes too early to leave.

Henry is an acolyte this morning--[that means he lights the candles before the service, then extinguishes them after the service.]

Having a job makes him a lot less grumpy about getting ready on Sunday mornings.

His friend Caleb is the other acolyte but Caleb has missed two out of the last three times he was supposed to be there.

Did I tell y'all that appointments for next year were announced, and my dad doesn't have a church next year?

He'll have at least one year off.

Good thing he's just a part-time preacher and a full-time bank auditor.

Selfishly I'm glad because now my parents will come back to my church again.

I'm getting us ready to go away tomorrow. The kids and Mike are coming with me on my weekly trip. Should be fun. They love hotels.

Though they think they are going to Boston and will likely be very disappointed. lol.
