Don't ask my why it's good monday, because I don't know. giggle.gif

It's going to be a beautiful day here today!  Most of this week is suppose to be, which is good because dh is gone until Friday.  It will help make the time go by much more pleasantly.

Today's question:

Are you enrolling your child/children in camps/programs this summer or are you taking it easy and mostly having them stay home?

i'd love to do the camp at his school but it is pricey and we can't swing it

hoping to do lots of play dates to keep him entertained

Morning!

Nothing major planned here except Bible Camp for a week in August. The kids got passes to the amusement park for Christmas so I'm guessing we'll go there often. There is a water park too.

GA!

Koda and Tristen will both be in May term preK.  We have a 3-week May Term here at the University, so they are offering a new preK term that coincides.

At least I'm pretty sure they are going.

It is pretty pricey, but it was fine becuase payment was due on the first day of class in May.  I get a notice today that it is due in full on April16th.  Um?  What?  You can't do that to people.  We've already budgeted and paid bills this month.  I can't pay for it until May 1.  I need to talk to the director.

If we dont move, both boys will be in 3 weeks of swimming in early July again.

That is really it I think.

I'm still hoping to spend the month of June out at the lake (I don't work in June).

Hi all!! It is a GORGEOUS day here as well!! I am loving this weather.

I have not even THOUGHT about activities. We don't do camps, but I think we should do swim lessons and I haven't looked into that. I don't know if we will do anything else. I kind of don't enjoy having a ton of activities to run around and do, and I know that once they get older and have sports and dance and whatever else, that I will be doing plenty of running.

For now, I just want to be able to go to the zoo and the park and have playdates-or just loaf around or go swimming at the farm when we feel like it. Yup-I am a lazy mom!

Both Bryce and Owen will be playing baseball and have two weeks of swimming lessons in June. Bible school will also be some time during the summer. I think Bryce might also go to Baseball camp, I do not think Owen is old enough for that this year though.

Otherwise just playdates and such.

I went to Target today (I posted about this on FB), and I wanted to look at the Giada tri ply cookware. They don't have any on display, but I am not about to buy cookware without being able to look at it, feel it, see how heavy it is, how the lids fit, etc.

So I opened the box and was going to take a look. This woman who worked there came over and asked me what I was doing, i explained and she said that it was really packed in there, and she has found that when people take stuff out of the box like that, they generally don't end up buying it anyway.

I told her if i could look at it and hold it, I wouldn't buy it for sure. She said, well, it is just like this other stuff, and pointed to another single pan. I told her it was not because that was stainless with the tri ply base, but that this was full ply cookware-totally different. Well, she wouldn't let me take it out of the box and then hovered until I left the aisle-like I was going to unpack it as soon as she left and she didn't want to deal with that.

I was annoyed. And this was after the last time i went to this Target and went to customer service to ask about a rug that they were out of, the guy was like, "I need the item number or I can't look it up." But he didn't call anyone to go look it up!!! He expected me to go back and look for it!!! Um...no.

It is a very convenient Target, but some of the people who work there SUCK.

I would complain to the manager about both incidents

I probably should have.  Today I didn't have time-I was there while the girls were at school, and it had taken me longer to get down there anyway because there was an accident on route 50 this morning-ugh.  But don't you think that is just ridiculous???

Thankfully we have 2 other Targets reasonably close by, but this one is only 10 minutes away.

Oh, and their popcorn machine has been broken for like 2 weeks-which sucks!!  The kids LOVE getting popcorn when I take them!!!

I just got Presley signed back up for therapy.  She's been getting therapy at school of course, but with the move and the new baby and all that, she hasn't been in an outside therapy in over a year

We start tomorrow!

I have more errands to run tomorrow because there was an accident on the highway this morning.

Which is fine. My mom is watching the girlies tomorrow, so it will be ok. But I was going to clean tomorrow. I can always put that off until Wednesday morning though.

I think the pollen is getting to me-with the windows open, by this time of day, my sinuses are killing me!!!!

Anyway, in my quest to coupon and save money, I am finding deals at various stores, so I am having to add stops to my errands list. Am I now spending more in gas because of this, thus negating the added savings for the couponing???

I need to go make mashed potatoes. I would do it later, but we have ballet, so I have to go do it now.

I don't like ballet nights. The girls are in two different classes, back to back, right at dinnertime, and I have to pack them food, and then we have to plan to have leftovers or something. It has really thrown me off!!

Anyway, Anna is watching Wubbzy and Kate is still snoozing, so I should go do that. At least I *think* Kate is still snoozing-maybe I should check. Yup-still sleeping.

Hi!

I just got home from work.

We brought Mark's friend Cole home with us.

Both boys will be in a one-week, half-day camp at Henry's school the first week of summer--Mark's is for incoming Kindergarteners, and Henry's is art camp.

They'll have VBS one week but ours is in the evening.

And our church offers a large variety of other stuff for 1st - 6th graders--Music Camp for a week, several Wild Wednesday activities--cooking, water play day, stuff like that.

I mentioned zoo camp to Henry, and he wanted to do it but I don't think we'll have the money.

I hate school vacation. Lucas doesn't have school on Mondays anyway but Travis has been here all day basically fighting with Lucas.  We took a nice walk with my SIL and niece and let them run around on the town green, I think it actually made Lucas MORE hyper.

Lucas will have summer session of school from June 29th until the end of July then he will just be home with Nikki unless I need to find him short term daycare.
