GM! My goal today is to not have the boys interrupt Travis who needs to get a lot of work done for his classes. These end of semester deadlines are a killer.
The boys have asked to ride their bikes, so we'll head outside in a little while. I have to wait until a reasonable hour (for a college student) to be awake because my kiddos are loud.
I think we will also go to a park.
Ugh. they are fighting of one toy plane. Picture huge tug of war.
sitting out at our garage sale waiting for people. I really hope some people show up today!
Matt is going to get me a new iPhone today which I'm totally stoked about. My contract is up one month from today but my phone won't hold a charge anymore. I'm going to sell it on cl or eBay. They are going for $200! That's the same price as the new phone so hopefully it will be a wash!
Jen, we had to stop there once on our drive home and I spent 45 minutes waiting in the car for Mike who had stomach troubles at the McDonalds. lmao.
The rest of the area is quite beautiful but I don't remember that parking lot fondly. lol.
You get my reference then that there is not much there at all. Even though I don't exactly live in a metrolpolis now, lmao, that is a whole other level of out there.
Pretty much the norm, and now I really understand why, is people come down here once a month or so to get their real shopping done.
It would be an experience, but my eyes are wide open that I think the transition is going to be a bit bumpy.

That sounded negative now that I read it. I really hope he gets the experience, it will just be an adjustment year to get into a whole different lifestyle and for me to get used to not only being a SAHM, but a SAHM in a really rural area.
It's gorgeous here, this is one of the days I wish I had a car so I could do something. I don't really want to leave my house but I feel like I shouldn't waste such nice weather.
God forbid Quint ask me if he can take Lucas on his day off :eyeroll:
picnic was a bit of a bust. It looks deceivingly nice out. Pretty, yes. Freezing wind, yup. We stayed for a bit, hit up Walmart, and now we are home with a red box. I'm making angel food cake cupcakes and thawing strawberries we picked last summer. Yum :) We'll have that with soup and salad for dinner.

April- how is it going? Any big buyers, or are you stuck with the annoying hagglers? (for the record, I'm a cheap ass, but I never haggle at a yardsale- I hate hate hate that).
I just remembered another favorite yardsale moment. We went to a neighborhood sale and a husband was keeping watch while his wife was on an errand. He didn't want to have to deal with leftover stuff, so he announced "If you can fit it in a bag, I'll sell it to you for $5.00. I don't care how much it is priced for, or how stuffed the bag is.
There was another sale that had TONS of stuff all over their huge driveway.
There were some boxes lined up across the middle of the driveway, and somebody said that nothing past the boxes was for sale.
All the good stuff was behind those boxes--it looked like they had cleaned out their attic and garage and just left all the stuff sitting out in their driveway.
I went with my SIL to Goodwill and Aldi and I totally scored at Goodwill. I got (all for myself) 5 shirts, a denim skirt and jeans for $22. I needed clothes bad and now I have some things Joey hasn't already seen me wear LOL
