i'm not sure if i said this the other day, but i countered at the job i got an offer on

we met in the middle and i accepted a verbal offer monday

written offer should be coming today

i'm nervous and excited

and nervous

Dorian, congrats on the new job!  If I remember correctly, it isn't 100% of what you wanted, but a big step to where you want to be...so that makes it amazing :)

Fingers crossed for all the hubby's looking for jobs!!!

Congrats on the new job Dorian!!! You're still in school too right??

So today is my first Wednesday working(well 1st wednesday working a 4 day week instead of working wednesday in place of another day). I was thinking I wasnt going to work the whole day but when I did the math the money is too good to pass up. I will miss my kid free day off though.

@LLLL I am still in school

i graduated with a BBA in Accounting in december

but am continuing to take classes in order to sit for the CPA exam starting this summer

exciting stuff!

I may at some point get my bachelors but I have ZERO interest in being a CPA :notworthy:

i just dropped off my middle two at school and bennett is asleep smile

i don't have to pick jake up for another hour (almost) so i'm enjoying the silence. well, silent except my washer & dryer.

There's a little boy in Josie's class named Dorian. She calls him "Dorry-lynn" so now I call our Dorian, Dorry-Lynn in my head. :)

She calls him "My Dorry-lynn"

 new company, new gig

it should be interesting, i've worked with the person who will be over me, so that's good in that it's not 100% unknown

now, when we worked together, we were on the same playing field, but he's a really great guy and a teddy bear, so i'm thinking it should work

Jenn, I am glad Travis's interview went well.  I sure hope it works out.  I also think that living in the house might not be so bad for the first year.  It would give you the opportunity to really get to know the area and time to look around or maybe even build.

Sara, I sent up some prayers that if this new job for your dh.  I know that he really needs to find something better too.  Yipee! to a quiet house.

Sonya, your kids crack me up!

LL I hope you do go back and get your BA.  You might find you are really surprised at how good it feels.  You are so smart.  Let it shine!

Dorian, congratulations on the new job.  It sounds like it will be a good move and that is really great that you go in knowing about who you will be working for.

I'm off again tomorrow for the night.

2 1/2 hours away and I may need to go every week for two days.

i'm not sad right now. Sleep all by myself in a hotel, priceless!

I found a new thrift store that I am super in love with.  It is a local health association, and they use the money they raise to bring kids and elderly to the doctors/dentist, etc and do educational programs.  Really good cause. 

Best part is, to turn over their stuff super quickly, they sell it super cheaply.  I got 6 pairs of shorts, 2 pairs of jeans, a new polo, and a scooby-doo play shirt, a book, puzzle, and scene it Disney game for $4.75 total.  Love it.

I then scored 2 leapster games at another thrift store I don't love but was wasting time in until my pizza was done for 1.99 each.

Today is a good day.
