Hi!

I've been outside a good portion of the day.

I love warm, breezy springtime weather.

me too, I just don't like the yellow coating my lungs get from being out there, LOL

My next-door neighbor is hammering something in his backyard--near the window by this computer.

BANG, BANG, BANG, BANG.

Luckily for once, I don't have a headache.

Yet.

I have a meeting tomorrow morning with Mark's preschool teachers--to find out if they think he's ready for K.

He's not good with letters and numbers but I'm thinking he's still got plenty of time.

He'll be really unhappy if he doesn't get to go to K in the Fall.

Travis's interview is tomorrow at 10am.  We have NO idea what to expect.  Higher ed interviews last all day with back to back interviews with different groups, but this is a private high school, so maybe not, but since it is a boarding school I would imagine it is longer than just one meeting.  No idea.

So nervous for him.

I was thinking this morning.  IF he gets this job, we wouldn't be house shopping until right after the tax credit expires.

Grumble.

what will happen during the summer? is luke doing extended school year?

He will do extended through most of July and Nikki will be home too. I may have a week or two to deal with at the end of August when she leaves for school (and by leave I mean moves into the dorm 20 minutes away LOL)

And there is a good chance Joey will live here by then (hee hee hee) and depending on what kind of job he gets he will be able to help too :)

Glen is looking for a better job.

He got a phone interview and in-person interview with a great company but I just now saw an email they sent saying they offered the job to someone else.

Boo.

He's going to be disappointed.

It was a lower status job--he's a manager now--but it paid WAY more than what he makes.

I wouldnt be too upset about that. Our friend who is a realator said that will be the best time to buy because people are trying to do it with the tax credit, sometimes uping prices on the house by more than what the credit is worth in bidding wars. By then he thinks it will die down and prices will be really good.

I don't know who is on facebook regularly so I will just announce here that my baby is going to kindergarten in the fall.  I wasn't sure for awhile and neither were his teachers but he is FINALLY holding a pencil/crayon and writing and that's the one skill they really wanted him to have.  They are going to put him and another little girl that he has been in school with for two years in the same K class to help them both adjust.

I am terrified and super saddies but outrageously proud of him heart.gif

Robin, I'm sorry to hear about Glenn's interview.  I hate job searching, the emotional rollar coaster is so much.  He got an in-person interview though, so that is really encouraging in the big picture- it means his resume and experience read really well, so hopefully the next door of opportunity is even better!

Bad news: Henry lost it and cried like a baby when I told him that he couldn't play in the water this afternoon.

Good news: Henry made a 100/A+ on his latest Social Studies test so I gave him a new pack of silly bands! Yay for an A on a SS test!
