I am so proud of him! I think she was trying to put it in his words cause he calls the stomach the stominic!
Jasmine -
Wanted to share with you something special from today. I took pictures and have attached them - please let me know if they do not come through or fault me for my lack of photography skills. What you will be seeing is Dominic's creation at the playdough table. To give you the story - I will try to give you all of the parts in order. I was so excited about what he was doing and what he was telling me. Dominic chose the playdough table as one of his activities during free choice. He was quite busy. I asked if I could join him and he also asked if I wanted to help. (a big step for him) I asked if I could just watch but would like to here all about what he was making. He asked me what I thought it was. Not wanting to give the wrong answer I asked if he would tell me all about it. He was happy to. He was working on the inside parts to the human body. Well,. . . He explained the parts and their functions. He started at the top the crannum, its like a skull - it protects the brain next we moved downward - I'm highlighting but all the parts were there. He had the ribs that protect the heart and the lungs, the stominic :) - it breaks down the food that you eat. He discussed more about food and its travel as he included both the large intestine and the small. He added the spinal cord - you cannot walk if you do not have one of those or if yours is broken, he added the knee caps, he told me about the muscles -- oh my gosh - if I had had Dominic's help when I had classes in Anatomy. Oh too, after the food you eat travels through all of the parts -- it turns into either pee or poop! So matter of fact too. There you have it. :o) the workings of the Human Body 101! I was very proud of Dominic as I know you are also. Thank you for sharing him with us. Again, please let me know if the pictures do not come through.
