my question of the day: where is kelly?

i've been lurking mostly but noticed she isn't posting anymore. is she okay?

i'm hoping to get a formal job offer today for a new gig...v. nervous about compensation though, so any positive BIG MONEY vibes ya'll could throw out would be greatly appreciated.

I am sending tons of vibes!!!!!!!  GOOOOOO BIG MONEY!!!!!!

Kelly decided to try and cut back-she is on fb these days some, but not really posting here so much anymore. Life was just getting a bit too hectic!!

I think she stopped posting after the thread Corey started that pretty much snow balled. I think she is on Facebook though so you could probably get in touch with her there. :)

***BIG MONEY VIBES***

i somehow missed that whole thing.

now i'm sad.

Don't be sad.  It was s shame, but Kelly really had wanted to stop posting so much-not because she doesn't like us, but you know how it is.  Life is just getting so hectic as our kids get older and she wanted to spend less time online and more time with them.

You know, I have very little of interest to say, but here I am! I have more time than I used to because I don't do much anymore, lol. Once i get back to full speed, I will probably try and post less.

But I love checking in and I wish more people did too!!

Sorry you all end up reading many a random post from me instead of hearing from a wide variety of peeps!

I feel good about getting the K forms over to the pedi's office today. The schools will be closed next week, so had I waited, I would have been a slacker parent who didn't have things done in time.

Go me!!!

I picked up the forms for my neighbor Mandy too, so she won't be a slacker either. :)

I hate money. Well, I actually like it quite a bit. I just wish we had some more of it!!

I really am not complaining-Bill has a great job and I am able to stay home-we just have had a hard time saving lately!! We want to, and I have done a very good job lately of really cutting back on spending and such, but then there I ended up in the hospital, which will be a couple thousand, then there is the fact that we have to do the siding this year, which is going to be a lot, and then there is the fact that we are being sued for our front foot assessment (because the previous owners never paid for the 8 years they lived here, never intended to pay, found a way to get out of paying, even though they KNEW they were responsible for it and KNEW if they didn't pay WE would be held responsible for it-and we were stupid first time homebuyers who didn't know we needed to make sure this whole thing was worked out before signing on the dotted line).

Money just seems to go.

We are pretty annoyed about the front foot thing. My SIL (who is a paralegal) is helping us out with it with her firm. It is all a big mess and we are trying to work it out. We shouldn't have to though.

It really bothers me because the people we bought from (it was a sale by owner, so we bought directly from them) are very active in their Evangelical Presbyterian Church, and he is a cop, for goodness sake. I mean, they are good people and they knowingly screwed us. I have kept up with them after the sale-and the wife told me a few years later when this issue first came up that she was sorry, but her husband would not pay it-they felt they were not responsible. And even though I told her the Utility company could and would hold US responsible for it, she just said sorry, he refused to budge on it, but they didn't think we should have to pay it either.

Yeah-thanks for saying that-it helps a lot.

Anyway, the reason we want to save up in the first place is we want to move without selling. I mean, we need a cushion again too, of course, and we need to save for college and retirement and everything else.

But we bought this place at a good time, and we have refinanced since as well, so it could be a good income property for us (being that it is a townhouse and all) if we can hang on to it.

I will be sad if we have to sell, even though I know renting can be a pita. I really feel that having a rental would be beneficial for us.

At least we have good neighbors-it doesn't bother me as much to stay here knowing we have good neighbors around.

Really, I am not complaining-I know how fortunate we are to be in the position we are right now. I know how many people are truly struggling and suffering right now.

So I apologize if any of my money rambles come across as complaining because I am not complaining. I just want you all to know that.

I *think* if Bill's parents really do end up subdividing the property and we can build there, we could move without selling.

But he still hasn't asked his dad what the latest is on that (not that he refuses-he just feels really uncomfortable about bringing it up, I think-but I know his dad has discussed it with one of his other brothers and mentioned us specifically, so IDT his dad would be at all upset-it is just Bill's thing), so IHNI where things are and if it is going to happen anytime in this century, lol.

Obviously I can't ask about it-and if it doesn't happen, that is fine. I would just like to know.

I think it would be awesome though-and not just for the obvious financial benefit. The girls would LOVE LOVE LOVE being able to live basically on the farm and be able to help Pop and Grandmom out with the animals and the produce stand and all. And they are such awesome people-I mean, my FIL would probably just walk into our house without knocking sometimes, but that is what door locks are for, lol. As far as intruding on our lives though-they aren't they way at all. I would enjoy living near them!

The only thing is that we wouldn't be the only ones building. And living near next door to my one SIL could be...welll...interesting.

I am just pontificating about this anyway because there is no way of knowing if it will ever come to fruition.

Bill's oldest brother and SIL are in a great place if it happens though because they could get enough from the sale of their current house to be mortgage free after building-how awesome would that be?

Ok, new subject.

We are having salmon for dinner-and brown rice.

I have to remember to start the rice sooner than I normally do, since brown takes longer. I wonder if the kids will like it?

I think I am going to make fish sticks for them-I really don't think they will like the salmon.

I am watching The Vampire Diaries while I sit here and type. Anna is playing quietly in her room and Kate is napping.

How lovely!!!

I like this show. I am getting bored with 90210 and such, but this one is good. Anyone else watch it?

I started buying milk only at this one local store. It isn't organic, but the farm where they get the milk promises that their cows and thus the milk, is hormone and antibiotic free. Which is really all I care about. And it is only $2.99/gallon as opposed to $5.99 for the organic.

I hate having to make a special trip to that store though.

I really feel as though I should be doing something more productive. But I really don't want to.

This floor is pretty decent, and I am just not ready to tackle the basement right now. Too messy.

I have a bunch of things I want to list on craigslist or something, but I think my camera is in my room, and I am not going up there while the girls are supposed to be napping. So maybe later on that.

I guess I will just enjoy the DVR and internets!

My children change their underwear and socks like they going out of style.

They get new socks like twice a day-and same with undies. Actually, they will change their socks more than that if they feel they are dirty. I wash so many socks and undies!!!!

I guess it is better than NOT changing them, huh? But I end up having to buy a lot of socks and undies...

I miss Bill. I like when he has days off, which is like...never. But then he was off when I was sick, and it was so nice!!!

I asked him the other night if he felt like we were "done" because I had just gone to my yearly. He said no. We both kind of wish we did feel done because we are scared about the ramifications of another c/s with me now that I have UC and they move the bowels around during surgery and such-and lots of UC'ers flare afterwards. But neither of feels done.

I hope if we do end up being able to have another that we have a boy. Although I am not sure I really want a wild boy-and boys just seem so wild and physical to me-but it sure would be nice to have both. And I think Bill would be thrilled.

Good afternoon! Just popping in to say hello!

I started exercising again yesterday and it feels great. I have 20 more lbs to go to be back to normal. But I have lost 26 lbs already so I think my exercise routine will help to get these last 20 off.

The kids are doing awesome. Aubrey is so ready for school its crazy..she talks about it constantly. So I ordered the first sight words video from the preschool prep co to give her a head start. Can't wait to get it here! Austin is talking more fluently now...he still gets really flustered and does the temper tantrum thing, but its managable. LOL He is so close to figuring out the pedaling on his trike...I know he will love being able to get himself around once he gets that figured out. Avery is sleeping a ton still but when she is awake she is bright eyed and bushy tailed. She is such a good baby, hardly ever cries and sleeps 4 hours at a time at night. Needless to say I am well rested and have three wonderful kids!

Thank you Supa for reminding me to order birth certificates for school. Because of you I got them ordered this morning and they are on their way to our house. : )

Lets see, I guess thats all for now. : )

I hope if we do move forward with TTC at some point that we are successful. I am not getting any younger. Plus I have been on sooooo many meds-and who knows how they affect the body.

I don't have a lot of confidence about the whole thing.

But we'll just have to cross that bridge when we come to it, right?
