my kids loooove to dance. i love to dance too. we don't have the smoothest moves by any stretch of the imagination, but we have fun.

grace and i are also car dancers-- i feel sorry for the poor people next to us at a traffic light having to witness that. i have a super funny video of grace dancing to miami sound machine in her car seat a few weeks ago. lmao.

My mom took my kids today. i wasn't sure if she was going to be able to take Kate because last night at like 11pm, Kate started hacking and coughing. Ugh. She actually started sounding a bit croupy.

But I gave her some of this natural type cough medicine that is also supposed to shorten the duration of colds if you give it right away, and rubbed her down with Vicks and she slept pretty well after that. She was coughing a little this morning, but otherwise was fine. I gave her another dose of the medicine this morning.

Did you know that I never really believed that vicks on the feet thing, but then my acupuncturist told me there is a point on the ball of your foot-if you scrunch your toes, it will be on the ball of your foot where things wrinkle between the big and second toe. Anyway, she said putting vicks on that point actually would help with coughing and congestion. Little did I know!

that is too funny, laura (about the vicks).
earlier this winter i went to the pharmacy in the middle of the night b/c grace was hacking to the point of vomiting. since they took most of the baby/toddler meds off the counter i couldn't find a thing i thought would help her.
a little old chinese woman working at the store told me the vicks on the feet thing and i thought she had lost her mind...needless to say dave and i didn't try it. apparently she wasn't as crazy and eccentric as i thought!

last night i went easter basket shopping. damn, those things are expensive to fill! i could have bought one big thing for them to share and spent nearly the same amount! i'm sure it doesn't help that i don't do much candy in the baskets and i won't waste my money on junky toys and trinkets, so i am filling them with more expensive stuff, but still!

i also bought everyone's spring/summer clothes at old navy this weekend. plus, dave bought a ton of stuff for the lawn/gardening. needless to say, we have been hemorraging money the past few days! thank God for targets after xmas toy clearance b/c atleast i have stuff put away for grace's birthday already!

i wonder if i order something from amazon today if i will get it by easter???

i forgot that santa forgot to buy the kids the pillow pets they asked for for xmas and i stupidly told them the easter bunny would probably bring them. oops. they took the stand down in the mall, so i think online is my only option, unless someone has seen them elsewhere.

my kids are being horrid today so i am hiding on the computer while they fight with eachother:)

yikes. i just found 2 pillow pets on amazon i was going to order, but with fsss they weren't going to even ship until the 29th and i am too cheap to pay for overnight shipping (especially when the stupid things are $30 something each to begin with--ludicrous!)

the way they have been acting lately doesn't really warrant me spending another $70 on easter anyways...last night they were acting so trollish i called the house from my cell phone and i pretended it was the easter bunny calling to check up on them. biggrin desperate times call for desperate measures!

my SIL just told me about Vicks on the feet last weekend.
I'm going to get some to have on hand and try it next time a cougher interrupts my beauty sleep!

I think this will be Kate and I.  I am a bit of a car boogier and it embarrasses my teenager so much that I want to do it non-stop in the car biggrin

LOL!!!  I seriously had no idea.  I mean, I had done it just because I figured it couldn't hurt, but now I feel like maybe there is actual merit in it!

Corey-we still have a stand in our mall, but they only had the sheep and the frog and a couple others-not much selection. Still, we do have a few-IDK what you are looking for. I could run down there and get a couple for you if you don't mind limited selection.

Also, I have Amazon prime, so if you wanted to order from them and the ones you wanted were prime eligible (not all are, but some are), I could order them and have them shipped to you and you could pay me back.  ETA-the prime is free 2 day shipping, so they would get to you by Wednesday if they are ready to ship and were ordered today.

LMK!

I think some people are trying to limit their online time.  I was trying to do that too for a while, but then I got sick and now I have more time on the couch than I did before, lol.  So I am on here a lot.

But I agree-we need more people posting, don't we?

 I take cash and paypal.

You can just send the payment to "Most Awesome Person Ever."

That will ensure it makes it directly to me laughing.gif

Ok, so I think I'm going to do some serious blocking of peeps on Facebook. Or just not use it anymore. There are a couple of people on there that are making me bonkers, seriously.

I am trying to figure out what the value of that site is anyway, and I keep coming back to me being nosey. That seems like the lamest reason for staying on it, kwim?

I think I'm just riled up. I'm going to listen to some Bon Jovi until I calm donw, lol.

Ok, so I love me some Bon Jovi (I was going to type BJ, but realized the innuendo there).

But holy moley, this is some cheesy stuff.

"This Romeo is bleeding, but you can't see his blood. It's nothing but some feelings that this old dog kicked up."

Nice. That's quality stuff right there.

And you can be sure that I am blaring it right now, singing at the top of my lungs.

"Well I will love you.....bab----ehehe....Alllll-waaaaaays!"
"And I'll be there, forever and a daaaaaay.....!"

okay, am i crazy or don't most people pronounce Bono's name like Bah-no??

the radio lady keeps calling him Bone-o and it is driving me ape shit.

i have always pronounced it non-bonelike;)

but then again, we massachusetts peeps aren't exactly known for our stellar speaking skills, so maybe i have been wrong all these years.

??

the only thing I do on there is read status updates.  I like to keep up on my nieces, brothers, son and the MS girls.

I'm probably nosey too!

I do not do any of the games, etc. so it's not a huge time waster for me.

This weekend we had issues with our wireless router at home that wouldn't let me access anything on my Itouch and at first I felt like I was having crack withdraws or something but after the first day I'm not minding it so much - I'm actually gasp reading a book!

The internet is an oxymoron!
