Hi, everyone!

I'm eating an egg and cheese biscuit for breakfast. It's yummy.

What do you have planned for today (or tomorrow)?

I stayed up way too late last night getting ready for Henry's birthday party.

I have lots more to do.

He and his friends requested silly string.

I found some at WM but it was $2 a can, and I'm *NOT* buying 14 $2 cans of silly string.

Henry is so excited/nervous that he is being a total BEAR.

Anyone want to borrow him for a few hours?

Morning!

I'm sure your party will be a huge success!

This is our first weekend without hockey, so it's very weird. Kaylin and I have eye doctor appts today. Braydon has a birthday party. Mark is putting up our new Rainbow swingset I got for a steal on CL. Tonight we have to work so the kids are sleeping at my parents.

Tomorrow we really have to do NOTHING!!!

Good morning!

I have no clue what I am doing today.  Tomorrow E has a birthday party.  Dh is home now.  For over two weeks now one or the other one of us has been somewhere for the most part.  I am happy to have him home.

I also need to do some shopping this weekend, but not sure I will get that far.  Yep, pretty boring here. giggle.gif

Robin, the party is going to be awesome!!! I can't wait to hear all about it!!

IDK what we are doing today. I am still sick with this cold and hacking cough (I think I will call Monday about it because it has been going on for a week now, and the meds I am on lower immune response, so I have to be cautious about lung infections and such), so I don't feel like doing much of anything. I can't get a good night's sleep because of this cough!!

But it is a GORGEOUS day today-supposed to be in the 70s!!! Bill is outside with the girls right now. I was out there, but was getting a headache-I wonder if I have allergies?

Rita's Italian Ice gives away free ice on the first day of spring, so I think we will go there sometime today-yum. And we are going to the farm for pizza night later.

We had a quote for siding today-ouch. We won't be going with those peeps. Otherwise, we don't have much planned. We have lots to get done, but we aren't doing any of it!!

we were supposed to go to my sister's this weekend but had to cancel since mike got roped into a conference. hopefully we'll get up next weekend. I'm actually kind of glad cause I am exhausted. it was a long first week a the new job. Good but exhausting!

we watched the frog princess this morning (cute) and then went to the playground. then we walked to see the horses and then to a book store to pick out a book. Mike left us there because he had a conference for a few hours this afternoon.

I was taking the kids to a grocery store when I spotted a good breakfast restaurant and decided to be brave for lunch. THey were awesome!

then we caught the bus home and they are napping.

hey everyone!

the weather here is unbelievable. it's so nice that when i went to put short sleeves on jake, i realized he doesn't have any that fit him. oops.

so we went to old navy for their 30% give and get sale and got some stuff. then to the park - except they were having an easter egg hunt for residents (we are not), so we left and headed to another park - except they were having an easter egg hunt. dang it! so we came home and played in the back yard.

of course, i got stung by a wasp on the webbing between my thumb and index finger when i reached into the mailbox. that was fun. and then in case you haven't seen it on fb, jake ran full speed into the closed screen door and plowed it right off the track and onto our deck. i soooooo wish i had been recording that one! thankfully he didn't go through the screen, so i think matt can fix it. LMAO

i need to do some more shopping tomorrow. i could really use some underwear and emily needs shoes. i'll probably head over to SR since they're buy one get one 50% off right now and get her 2 pairs to last through the summer.

oh, and last night one of my fave students (i had her last year and have her this year and i've been working on getting her into that college for women with babies, you might remember), called me b/c she was in tough spot. she was running 103 fever with strep and was oh, and last night one of my fave students (i had her last year and have her this year and i've been working on getting her into that college for women with babies, you might remember), called me b/c she was in tough spot. she was running 103 fever with strep and was home alone and worried she was going to pass out and leave the baby unsupervised. we made a u-turn and me, em and jake picked up the baby and took her to dinner at applebees with us and then we made a quick stop at target before i took her back home. i'm hoping that hell is a few degrees cooler for me someday after that. ;)

I'm at that nerved-out stage of party preparation.

I don't really want the kids in the house (except to use the bathroom) so I'm planning to put a sign on the garage door with an arrow to the gate.

I already put a helium birthday balloon on the fence by the gate.

Even though the party is outside, I need my kitchen to be clean because the snacks will be there before I take them outside.

I haven't decorated Henry's cake.

I haven't made the treat bags.

Henry is whining and fussing at me because "Zach lets more people get on his trampoline than I can, and my trampoline is bigger. WHY? Why is my life so HORRIBLE? WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH."

we are having john's family over for dinner.  I'm making pulled bbq pork.  It's in the crock pot.

It has not been a good morning here.

John got a mobile broadband thing from Verizon and was in the house trying to set it up and it totally screwed up our wireless router so we haven't been able to get online.  I think it might be fixed now but our ipods won't work with the wireless.  I've realized how addicted I am to social media!

And my teenager - who will be 14 on Monday is so hateful all the time.  Everything I say he says "no" or refuses, etc.  I finally went out on the front porch, sat down and cried.  I'm so exhausted with the teenage years already.

Jake and Kate are napping so I'm hoping to regain some sanity in the next 2 hours.  I've really felt like running for the hills since 9:00 a.m.

living with a teenage boy who has discovered girls and been discovered by girls is just short of hell!

The phone rings at all hours.  He's always texting, chatting on FB and just over all giving us a horrible attitude.  He acts like this is his palace and we are blessed to have a bed to crawl into every night.

Last week one girl called at 10:37 on a school night.  This same girl is c.r.a.z.y b/c she will call every 5 minutes if we don't answer and in between those 5 minutes she's burning up his cell phone.

Two nights ago she called and he was talking to her and DH told him 5 minutes b/c he needed to use the phone - well DH picked up the phone b/c DS was way out in the yard so the girl responded "well when can he have the phone back?"

Awhile later DS began badgering DH asking if he'd received the call he'd been waiting on b/c DS NEEDED to use the phone.  He is so aggressive and ugly and just plain entitled.   After badgering for a significant period of time he has now lost his Ipod, cell phone and computer for the entire weekend.

I'm not sure I will make it until he's an adult!

Braydon was supposed to go to a birthday party at Pump It Up today. Before I left for the eye doctor I asked him to clean up his room, change his shirt, and watch the little boys as the Dads were in the backyard setting up the swing set. I got home to find two brand new boxes of noodles thrown all over the kitchen. Braydon was still glued to his DS having done none of what I asked. That meant no birthday party. I felt bad for his friend, but he's been throwing attitude lately, so something serious had to be done. He has been like a totally different kid since. Helpful and happy.

Being a parent is hard.

Good morning girls!

Busy day (I wrote busty day, lol).

we went to breakfast together and then to the park for a long walk. Grocery store on way home and I bought some planters to try some window plantings. That will probably never work. I have a black thumb with plants but the kids thought it was fun.

now they had lunch and are heading for a "nap". I'm not optomistic.

i have a giant headache that won't go away.

but, it's still sunny! It's like southern California here!

Stacey, ITA with Jen-I am sure that was hard, but WTG!!!

Sonya, I hope your kids napped-but usually when my kids say they are going to they don't, so ITU why you don't believe them.

I have been sitting here at the computer for hours trying to iron out some issues with Bill's previous company that he and he dad own. It is still open, but they haven't had any business. Anyway, the IRS is such a PITA-we had an issue with some withholding taxes from 2008-yes, 2008. Finally got it all worked out, or so I thought. Recently get a bill for like 5x the amount we initially owed and payed because they have their paperwork wrong. ARGH. So now I have to go over to chat with my FIL so he can get straight about all of this and call them tomorrow. Thing is, I am not even sure what to tell him!! They send you these forms and they are SO confusing-it is hard to even nail down which tax period to which they refer. I hate dealing with this stuff.

And my cough is still going strong. So I am going to call tomorrow and see if I can be seen. I don't want to end up on antibiotics, but I can't just let this keep going on-it has been well over a week!!!

On the plus side, my bowels are getting better-let's hope that trend keeps going so I can start getting off of the prednisone!!! I hate it-my face is SOOOO puffy and nasty, and it just makes me feel like such crap. Blah. I hope he will let me taper soon. I might even call him this week and ask what his criteria is to start the taper.

It is GORGEOUS here today, btw. I wish it would stay this way forever!!!

I usually go to the grocery store on Mondays while the girls are in school. But since I am going to try and get into see the GP tomorrow, I decided to go today. I went to our one store that is old and run down, but they have good deals.

I don't order coupons or any of that stuff-I am definitely not hard core. But I did get a few god deals today! I had a coupon from the paper for rice-in the containers with the screw on lids. Anyway, we already have jasmine and aborio rice, so I got brown. They had it on sale from $6.99 to $4.50 and I had a coupon for $2.50 off, so I got it for $2! Yay!!!

They also deals on shrimp-no extra coupons, but 26-30 count, a 2lbs bag for $12-that is a great deal!! We have been having a lot of shrimp on Fridays this lent-and I found a really good and easy recipe for shrimp salad we like, so I picked up two bags of those.

They also had a deal for a bag of nestle morsels, a pound of butter (store brand) and 18 eggs for $5. I got that plus a second bag of morsels-they morsels were on sale as well, and I had a manufacturer's coupon for $1/2, so I did that as well. I think we will hard boil some of the eggs, lol-we like them on salads, and I can make egg salad for us to have for lunch on Friday.

I am glad to have the shopping out of the way now.

If I can't get into the GP first thing, or if they can take me later in the day, I will be going to Target when the girls are in school tomorrow.

I bought their dresses their and this week they are on sale. I am pretty sure they will price adjust. but if not, I will return them and buy them over-they are on sale for $16, so I will save $3.99 on each.

I love getting easter dresses for $16!
