We played trivia at supper each night after we finished eating. we played millions of games outside - my dad loved playing outside with us.
My favorite was playing hide and go seek in the dark in our finished basement. we'd turn off all the lights and the person seeking would have a flashlight. So fun.
It is 420 and Ive been up for an hour. Scott woke up and woke Raym up and then both were kicking me so much in the bed I just brought them downstairs to watch a movie. I am exhausted. I hope if they fall asleep later K will be cooperative for me.
We played monopoly, but that was really it. My brother and I used to play battleship as well. We weren't really a "do stuff together" kind of family. Sad when I look back, but just how it was.
I would love to play games with Koda if it didn't involve my little red head's temper melting down at every possible down turn, lol. They are much more into physical games right now.
Sonya, sorry to be a biggest loser-loser. I haven't weighed in forever. I got in a nasty funk after our TTC date got pushed back since that was my major motivation.
Crappy start to day= falling asleep while listening to an audiobook on your ipod to wake in the morning to have not only lost your place, but completely drained your battery. Poop. It is my one source of sanity while driving the kids to open gym.
monday we had chemo & my former neighbors over for dinner
yesterday school for everyone & jake's baseball tryouts (they find out if they made the team today so fingers crossed...)
today caroline has a field trip & a doctor appointment & i have an appt with my counselor
tomorrow mikey has OT and caroline gets to go meet her equine therapy instructor. i decided to pull her out of talk therapy (since she's only 5 she isn't talking to the therapist much) and put her into equine therapy. very little difference in price and the equine place is a: much more up her alley & b: waaay closer
Good morning! We played some board games once in a while as well as hide and go seek outside. Mostly we got together with extended family and did a lot of card playing. Honestly, I am not much of a game player so I am guilty of not doing it with Elizabeth. :bag:
Sonya I hope this week slows down for you but it's exciting too.
Sara you have a busy week. If it goes like anything for me, Friday will be booked soon and you will be booking multiple things on the rest of the days too.
Jenn I think we did more "doing" things with my family and I have lots of good memories of that.
I am off to Weight Watchers this morning because a friend convinced me to go back with her last week. I am just hoping I did not gain anything. I need to figure out how to make the time and save the energy needed to do this in my crazy unpredictable life. At least that's the excuse I am using now.
I remember playing card games. My dad would play rummy with us and I remember that being super fun. My mom loved yahtzee (just like my grandma) and so we played that a lot. I remember playing skipbo too. We still play yahtzee and some other board games.
We did play games. I specifically remember Life and Monopoly. Mostly it was us kids playing though. We also played kick the can in the dark on summer nights. I had some awesome summers growing up. It was just a different time back then when kids could run around for hours and parents just expected then to come home eventually.
