Because I am corny and this winter has been so bad for many of us, let's see if we can start off March on a positive note. To do that I thought it might be good for us to post anything that is positive in our lives from the coffee creamer you love to the unexpected generosity of a neighbor. It can be big or small, funny or serious, just as long as you view it as a positive.
Lets bring on the good times and chase old man winter out of here. Or as Leah said on fb, don't let the door hit ya' where the good Lord split ya'!
~ Finding a bottle of Peppermint Mocha coffee creamer at the grocery store this week, which I wasn't expecting since a)it's so far after Christmas, and b) they were sold out at Christmas. ~ My sister's recovery going well from surgery - she's been in SUCH a great mood while she's been home, and we've gotten SO much closer. I think her uterus held all her crabbiness, lol. ~ Getting a mountain of outstanding bills, and right in the middle of the stack, finding a bright red envelope. It was a letter from Hannah that she sent on her field trip to the PO last week. Really brightened my funk. ~ A note one of my nephews wrote to the other while he was mad, in which he spelled everything wrong but the cuss word, and drew a hand flipping the bird, where the finger is totally (unintentionally) shaped like a penis. Sucks for my sister, but I laughed for like 3 hours. And when asked if he knew what was wrong with the picture, he answered, "Yeah, I know. I drew too many fingers on the hand." Seriously, I thought my stomach would rupture from laughing. ~ No one has swiped my parking space any of the times it snowed. I get livid if I have to carry Hannah further if the weather is bad.
Peepers has only been waking once a night lately. Except for last night, of course. But there is definite improvement.
Mason is starting full days at his school today. And because his school is at a daycare, full days mean I don't have to pick him up until 6pm if I don't want to! So I get to rest as much as Peepers will let me today to try and get over this cold.
I have leftover Thai food for lunch.
I am researching for a family mini-vacay for Peepers' birthday, and that's kind of exciting.
My kids! They are at great ages. We had THE best day yesterday. Church was really good - Owen ran right in without crying. At the end he said "I just wuv my church. I had so much fun!" Gavin gave a talk in Primary and did great! He is also adjusting well to his new teachers which wouldn't have been the case just a couple of months ago. My lesson was really fun and the kids did great. It was just a great experience.
I got to take a nap afterwards and then the sun was shining bright and we went to the river and park and the kids had a great time. We all stayed up way too late but laughed our butts off watching AFV (it's our sunday tradition) and re-enacting some of the funny ones. It was wonderful.
I am excited for March b/c Doug's birthday is next week! Family will be visiting to surprise him and it will be great fun! End of the month is Spring Break. I super duper love March!!!
Going to Vegas for the first time. Just me and DH! No kids! We are leaving Thursday, so if you could all do a little no-snow dance, I would really appreciate it. It's been tough to travel out of the northeast these past few weeks with the crazy weather.
Natalie finally going back to school after being sick for the past week an a half.
My Keurig, which has been my savior as I have been stuck in the house due to broken bones and snow storms.
My sister's new baby boy, who is scheduled to make his arrival at the end of the month.
-texxx's posted article on FB this a.m. about Layla Grace...i cried but i also rejoiced, so blessed to have my boys -a not too hot skinny vanilla latte, that way i could start chugging w/o waiting for it to cool down -cute shoes i bought back when we had money, they make me feel pretty and they're already paid for ;) -forever 21 -momsquawk. -thank you notes from people getting their swap gift 3 months late :x (i suck)
- being able to work part-time (LOVING this) - my mom is coming to visit next weekend!!! - belgian chocolate - snuggling with mason. he is so snuggly and i love it. - sunshine. it was sunny today!
my husband has been going to church with us for the last 6 weeks
we are going on a little trip this weekend sans children - it will involve a boat, water, a hot tub and did I say no children?! It is about a 5 hour drive south so it will be a bit warmer and it will give us lots of quiet time to talk!!

Girl Scouts cookies, hearing my girls tell me they love me while hugging me so hard, having a husband who has done a fabulous job with the kids and house while I've been in bed the past few weeks, receiving unexpected cards in the mail - they mean so much more than an email, you know?!!, a new baby coming into the life of my BFF! It's almost as good as having another one of my own but without all the work!!
