but, i painted the family room and it was six days of torture so i wanted to share my "after" pics (for those who haven't been bombarded with them on facebook ;)

the bay window area is going to eventually have some bookcases and some really pretty fabric and a nice rug, ie. i am taking the futon out.  it is just there for now.

here are some before and after pics:

before: (it was a pita to remove that wallpaper and we had a roof leak so I had mold to contend with...i had to completely strip the wall down)
but glad to see it go!!

here is the after shot of the bay window:

after:  I have shelves that still need to be put up

On a sidenote, btw, how are you liking your blinds? Those are the same style I'm looking into switching ours to (particularly in the lr, but maybe everywhere).

Leah..I love them!  but, they don't block any sun...as you can see from the pic.  if you need light blocking, I would try a shade underneath it..(It would be rolled up so you wouldn't see it except when you needed it, ie. if you were trying to sleep or something.  we got them at lowes...really cheap!

I love it!  Just looking at the pictures the feel of the room is so relaxing and soothing.  I also love the way the light fills the room now.  As always you did an amazing job!

Thanks! So good to know! I can tell I'm getting to be an old fart - I got a gc for my birthday to JCPenny, and am spending it on house stuff, lol. Lame, lmao.
