iTouch Users- A problem, A Question
Permalink

My beloved husband after many, many hints got me an iTouch for Valentine's Day. And I've come to love it and its many, many capabilities. And for 8gigs I still have loads of room!

However- It never wants to sync with iTunes. It did it once, stopped. A friend of mine came over and fixed it. It did it a couple more times and now it won't sync with iTunes anymore.

Have any of you had this issue? And how have you resolved it? I think the first time she unistalled iTunes and reinstalled it but I can't keep doing that each and every time I want to sync my i's.

any time I have a question about something going on with my ipod touch I google it and usually get some useful information.

as for the sync issue you're having - is it charging when you plug it in, just not syncing?

It charges. So thankfully its a syncing issue! I'll have to spend some time with my friend Google.

And I do have the latest version of iTunes, iTunes v.9. This laptop was iTunes free until Sunday so once I plugged the USB cable for the iTouch into the laptop that was first time iTunes was loaded onto it..

Yeah...I'm catching up slowly..LOL

I'm starting to think that its really a laptop issue.

if you call tech support they will suggest you try it on another computer.

Mine has been doing this frequently - we have 2 Ipods, 2 USB cords so for me I know it's not an Ipod issue b/c both ipods wouldn't freak at the same time.   Just last night it did it and I turned the computer off/on and it then worked.  It is annoying for sure.
