Glen took the kids to his parents' house for the whole afternoon, so I:
-exercised at jazzercise -cleaned the kitchen -did one meelion loads of laundry -picked up in the entryway and living room -organized coupons and made a list -went grocery shopping -got a bday gift -made brownies to serve at a fundraiser -put a ham in the crockpot [-played Zoo Tycoon and won a scenario that was giving me fits]
Today we have Sunday school and church, then my SS class is having a Valentine BBQ luncheon as a fundraiser right after church. At the exact same time as the luncheon, Glen is taking Mark to a birthday party for a girl in his preschool class.
Jazzercise is starting a 4-week class today called "Bikini Body" that I am DYING to take but I don't think I can work it around the fundraiser. I suppose I could just do the last 3 weeks but it's still really bothering me.
I JUST NOW remembered that I made brownies for the fundraiser. I was supposed to take them to church last night and help with setup and decorating but I forgot. I can still take the brownies this morning. Hope they had enough help last night.
And I don't know if I'll go to a movie tonight or not. Probably.

I'm just popping in to try to motivate myself to get some shiz done.
Hannah has a nasty cough, so she slept in our room last night, so I fell asleep with her pretty early. When I woke up at 4:30, all the lights were still on in the house. *happysigh* Joe's up cleaning and doing the dishes I got distracted from for my bday, I think to myself. So I sneak downstairs. House is more trashed than when I fell asleep But no sign of the hubby. *happysigh* that's okay, he ran out to get a card? Yeah, at this point I know I'm reaching. Nope, he's outside smoking. He tried to sleep, but couldn't, which is SO weird because as I'm looking at him he's still in his sweater, jeans, belt, socks, the whole niner.
"Now you won't be able to wake up for Vday breakfast" I say. "Sure, I will." He says. Cut to wake up time where I hear tinkering downstairs. "Awwww, he's making me breakfast, man, do I ever feel like a biotch. And Hannah even is helping."
No, my 4 yo was downstairs doing things for my birthday. (eta: somehow this got cut off my message) She sang Happy Birthday to me, unrequested, and has been telling me how awesome she hopes my day is. Where's Joe? Oh you know dayum well where he is, of course.

I am not feeling as crabby this morning. E and I are up. Dh is sleeping but he did bring me a dozen red roses. I watched some of the speed skating last night at my friend's house while our girls played, but other than have not watched much.
I am hoping to get some laundry done today. Yep, that's my excitement.
We did watch the opening ceremonies; I thought it was ok, but I can't get over how much K.D. Lang looks like a man.
I was half asleep when she was singing, but it sounded really nice and looked to see who it was, and all I could think of was 'gee, I didn't realize Wayne Newton was from Canada."
Speaking of men who aren't morning people...George started working days today, which means he has to leave for work at 6.
He made this HUUGE production of it, saying he had to go to bed at 8, blah blah blah.
I wanted to remind him that I started work at 7 for 5 years, and managed to work out, make lunches, and get the kids ready for the day before I left each morning.
This morning, I had to wake up with him, because I was nervous he would sit on the couch and fall asleep before leaving for work.

lmao
it's quite incredible how much more she looks like a man now. and that suit didn't help (or maybe if she wanted to look like a man, it did help).
such a beautiful song, though. I love Rufus Wainwrights version the best (from Shrek I think) or the original Leonard Cohen (both of whom I'll claim, Kristi)
one thing that drove me crazy about the openning ceremonies was the canadian national anthem.
i REALLY don't think you should be able to "jazz" up a national anthem. just sing it the right way. I wanted to shoot that girl (who I don't know but probably should) or the organizers.
