Im sorry I havent been around much lately. I feel like I have been going non stop! We just registered Kaylen for Kindergarten at our church and Raym is getting his therapy once a week, IM still working on managing his other stuff into it and add into that my doc appts. my schedule is packed.

Raym had a meeting with a speech therapist for an eval yesterday. When he first arrrived he kept saying he saw hardly any signs of autism that raym was doing exceptionally well, just behind verbally. By the end he said oh ok yeah I see it now. I wish he just would have kept his mouth shut till the end and just left without evaluating my kid. Thats not even his job to discuss his "diagnosis".

Anyway I hope everyone is doing well. And I hope to stop in a little more as things calm down.. if they ever do.

Tracy I love hearing updates from people.  Thanks for sharing.  We all get so busy and rarely seem to have time to share recent news anymore.

I agree it isn't an ST's job to discuss another diagnosis but I will say that I have developed a wonderful relationship with Anna's ST over the past 1.5 years and she shares a lot with me based on her experience on working with a wide range of disorders (is that the right word??) even if she is not qualified to provide additional services.  One thing to keep in mind is that it is helpful to the ST to have a full grasp on things with Raym so he can provide the best and most effective speech therapy for him.  Anna has a preliminary diagnosis of sensory processing disorder and so her ST speaks with other OT's on the best approach to use with her.  I LOVE her for that.  She has come up with things I never could have dreamed of to help Anna.  Sorry to make this about Anna but I am trying to give you a more positive feeling about Rayms therapist.  I am hoping that he does wonders to help your little guy and you have the same luck we have had. :hug!  ** I just reread that it was only an evaluation for speech.  I've opted not to erase what I wrote because again want you to see I am hoping for positive things to come for Raym.  I'm praying for him.**

Is Kaylen excited about starting school?  I am still pinching myself trying to believe these "babies" are going off to school in the fall!

Thanks for the update.  I hope you are feeling okay these days too.  Hopefully I will make that Vegas trip in the fall and I will get another chance to see you!

I like hearing there point of view as well. I guess I was just upset because he talked about how great Raym was doing and then boom it crashed down. Not really because he said anything at all. Does that make sense.

K is really excited about school, but once shes going every day I wonder if that will change.

I hope you can make it to vegas too. Im sure it will be a blast.

that sucks tracy - i'm sure you felt all elevated when he was saying positive things, and then - as you said - it came crashing down. how is he getting along with his therapy? i'm so impressed with how much youre juggling - and somehow you always sound sooooooo balanced.  can you post a pic of raym? i'd love to see him. i havent seen a pic of him in ages and i'm not sure what he looks like.

Tracy I am always glad to see your posts.  You are busy!  I am sorry that the speech evaluation ended on such a sour note.  I think K will love school.  She is such a bright little girl.  What about you?  How is the new doctor working out?  Does it seem to be helping?

Ahh, I think I'm overdue for an update too. It's so good to see you, Tracy, and to hear how things are going.

I'm pretty sure K will love school. I was nervous about Holly going every day but it's been so easy and so much fun for her.

((hugs)) about the ST's comments. ITU why you'd rather him not have said anything, but I'm so glad you guys are so on top of things with setting up everything your kids need. It's impressive and I hope you can see what a great job you're doing, even if it is always sooo busy.

Also, ITA that we need pics! wink.gif

Tracy, UGH on K registration. I personally am DREADING this. Can you believe they are going to be in KINDERGARTEN???

I'm sorry that Raym's speech therapist did that. I can understand your frustration about that. Sounds like he is doing well overall that, yes?

How are you feeling these days?

Scott is just into everything these days. Hes a fulltime walker and is 10.5 months. Hes been walking little bits since 9 months. He is my troublemaker and demands attention.

Im doing well the meds are ok, but Im not back to normal yet. I dont know if Ill keep at this med or ask for something different when I see my doc next week.
