we're heading out to my ils house for a little while. They have a half mile driveway so I think we'll buy sleds and park at the top of the driveway and walk/sled down.

then my mom wants the kids for the night and mike is boo hooing that he'll miss them too much.

can you see my eyerolling from here? I may go to my moms by myself. lol.

Morning! Joe has a bowling party to go to today, but apart from that we have nothing planned. Last week we had no plans either but became so frustrated with the cupboards in the kitchen we ended up doing a major overhaul/deep cleanin there. I hope dh doesn't come up with anything for this weekend .

Sonya you are so lucky that you have your mom to take your kids. I don't think one day goes by that Nader and I come up with some idea about how we could offload the kids on my mum and dad if we just lived closer. I think it is sweet that your dh gets upset but I don't quite understand it.

Surprise birthday party today and tomorrow a bowling fundraiser party.

Rich is helping move my sister right now and I have zero motivation. I need to clean and get the house in order.

Mia already loves to play dress-up. She is walking around with my hat and trying to put on my shirt.

What a morning so far.

Custodian didn't unlock anything for us.
And decided to leave the building.  While working.  Not on break.  Had to hunt him down, which of course he was angry as a hornets nest because now we got him in trouble for skipping out.

Two applicants didn't show up.  I already sent them F you very much, and I am not rescheduling.  Welcome to the real world where we don't get to skip interviews and think I still have a shot in heck at a job.  Don't worry, I phrased it more nicely less I be fired.

One of my interviewers, a STAFF person wanders in later.  Really late.  She is now on my hit list.

Two staff members who weren't even scheduled to interview arrive and are annoyed they were notified they didn't need to be there.  I did notify them, and pulled up the history of the email to prove it to them.  Yup, they read it.  Dummies.

Was completely confused when a Daniel showed up.  Daniel?  We're not interviewing a Daniel.  Oh....wait.  Danielle is Daniel.  We wrote the name incorrectly in EVERYTHING.  Poor guy.

All this while my two little monsters were running around screaming.  Travis teaches in the morning so I had to bring them to work with me.  Yeah, great idea.

And we are only 1.5 hours in.  This is going to be a fun weekend :)

Hi!

Back in the day, I interviewed to be an RA. Unfortunately, the lady interviewing me remembered a few years back when she caught me in the boys' dorm during non-visiting hours. Oops.

(Really I just wanted a private room. Ended up with one anyway just because the dorms weren't full.)

Henry is supposed to go to a birthday skating party tomorrow.

Hopefully the temp will get above freezing and melt all the ice before tomorrow afternoon.

Mark and I were sweeping and mopping the kitchen earlier.

It's really slippery in there, and we can't figure out why.

Might be from the kids going out in the ice/snow and tracking it back in the house.

In that case, we just wasted the morning cleaning the floor.

 we are so blessed.

we actually just dropped them off for the afternoon instead. They go to bed at 7:30 so it really isn't a hardship to have them here for the night.

good morning.

i need to do some cleaning today. i told dan 2 weeks ago i needed like 3 hours on the weekend to do things like clean the floors and bathrooms that i can't get to during the week with all the kids here and appointments. last weekend he didnt' offer the time so this weekend i'm asking for it.

jake has some friends over (i have no idea how many because i was asleep when they got home) so i need to start making breakfast soon. teenage boys eat a lot.

i also want to take the kids to the library.

i just got back from the grocery store and hardware store. I finally bought a garbage can for the kitchen and a mop. Don't ask how long it's been.
