tonight i had such an awesome trip that even the front end manager who calls herself a couponer came over to check out my haul!
my cart was literally overflowing when i got the register. before Qs, my total was around $105. after Qs, i paid $24.35. the receipt says that between sales and coupons i saved $188 tonight!!! yippee!
anyone else have any fun trips to share about from recently!?!?!?!
oh, replying to my own thread to also share that i found a new local grocery store today that doubles coupons up to $1! so $1 becomes $2!!!!! and Qs in between round up as well, so $1.50 becomes $2!!!
i will be adding that store to my rotation and hitting them weekly too.
i.am.so.addicted. :ahhh!
eta: an example of how a great deal works there is they had the dannon light & fit yogurt 6/$3. i had $1/6 Qs. they doubled those so i got 12 yogurts for $2!!!!

I hit up a great sale at Albertsons - without any coupons. It would have been even better, obviously, if I had coupons. Their quaker granola bars, and packages of instant oatmeal, as well as some cereals are all $1 each. You have to buy in multiples of 5 but it's still good.
The high fiber packages of oatmeal are usually around 3-4 bucks at albertsons. My total was $76 and went down to $20!!! I also got some apples there and they have a deal where you buy one box of OR popcorn and you get another box plus 2 2-liters for free! I think I will be hitting them up again and stocking up on some more granola bars and oatmeal!
AWESOME!! It is addicting, isn't it? (sometimes I am afraid that even with all the deals I am getting, I am spending too much b/c I am literally addicted ;)
Great job April!!! I have been doing pretty well recently. Saving so much money. We do have double coupons, but often the coupons are buy 2 get .50 cents off, so I end up having to buy my coupons online to get the good ones.
We had a pretty good week here, too. I spent just over $27, but saved $132. And it's all stuff my family uses (cereal, pasta, yogurt, cheese, meats).
The key for us is the double coupon day, and coordinating coupons with sales and Cats. There was more stuff for free, but I try to limit getting things that we don't use.
Since our weather is keeping me house-bound, I'm organizing and re-organizing my coupons, changing my list/s around, and REALLY getting ready mentally for my next trip.
I'm sure Glen thinks I'm saving him right into the poorhouse. ;D
