Rocking Horse Ranch update...it was FANTASTIC!!!  Seriously, a great trip!  Fun for both kids and adults.

We packed so much into a long weekend - horseback riding, pony rides, snow tubing, skiing (all equipment and lessons included), horse drawn wagon rides.  Natalie and Logan stuck to the ponies, but Jake went with the "big people", lol.  There was also a game room, "fun barn" (which had ping-pong tables, a bouncy house, and a small indoor obstacle course), Wii room, an indoor pool and water slide area, all of which the kids made great use of!

Cheesy nightly shows, but cute nonetheless, Let's Make a Deal games, and 3:30-4:30 open bar and cocktail snacks.

The food was great - breakfast and lunch were buffets, and dinners were top notch.  You could order multiples off the menu - think stuffed pork chops, beef tenderloin, shrimp cocktail.  There were also the usual standard kid fare everynight.

We went with a group, which I highly recommend if you ever consider going.  The only thing not included in the price was alcoholic beverages, but there were a few bars that served up some mean drinks.  We also brought beer and wine from home (as did most everyone else there - it was pretty typical to see bottles of wine in the lobby area and on dinner tables).

The best part about this place is that everything is confined to a relatively small space.  I think the resort only holds about 400 guests, including kids.  The dining hall was a 30 second walk from our room, with the indoor pool area somewhere in between.  The ski and snowtube hill were a five minute walk from our room.  In our group, our kids were a bit older (Natalie was the youngest), but we often let them go to the game room or other area alone while the adults hung out in one of the TV rooms or bars (it was a big Jet football weekend in NY and the entire resort turned into one big football party on Sunday afternoon).  There was a real cozy feel to the place.

My kids seriously had a blast.  Logan couldn't believe that we actually had to come home on Monday.  We definitely could have used another day or so.

Here are a few pics...I wish I would have taken some more.  I left my camera in our room most of the time we were outside.

Yay, so glad you had a blast. I think I will wait till the girls are a bit older, but I aways wondered how it was. It sounds like fun and  a perfect place for a group.

I am going to have to let Rich know you liked it. He was wondering if it looked as good as it sounded.

Natalie is so adorable too. I mean the boys are cute and all, lol, but Natalie is just beautiful.

T/j to say that that looks like so much fun!  I am glad you all had a great time.  I also agree, Miss Natalie is as beautiful as can be.  I have to say her brothers are pretty handsome too.

Thank so much girls!!

Melissa, it would be smart to wait till Mia is a bit older. Most of the activities are for the 3 and over set.

That looks so fun Alicia!

I love trips where the kids and the parents have fun.

And you're super brave to put your boys together in the back. LOL

I would never seat mine together.

If they aren't fighting they're making eachother hyper.

Kristi, they are actually very good together and do a good job of keeping each other entertained. It also helps that the DS and iTouch puts them in some sort of alternate state of consciousness, lol! I am lucky that they genuinely like spending time with each other. In fact, Logan told Natalie just the other day that Jake was his best friend.
