 suuuuuuuper early.

I've been up since 5:00.

Apparently a side effect from this diet.

I was on the diet site the other day and people were saying the same thing.

I guess you need less sleep.

Although I am going to bed a bit earlier these days.

do you mind if i ask about the diet?

i'm considering going to the doctor and looking into some kind of supervised weight loss plan. i'm failing miserably on my own. :bag:

I highly recommend this diet!

It's the first I've ever been able to stay on.

I went to my doc thinking that I wanted to do a liquid diet (so glad I didn't) and he recommended this one instead, Medifast.

You can order online so you don't need a prescription.

You eat 5 of their meals a day, mostly soy based, not very tasty but edible, and then a lean and green meal for dinner. I have chicken with broccoli or steak with mushrooms or shrimp and zuccini. Last night I had a taco salad with lettuce, ground turkey and salsa.

Anyway my doc suggested that I only eat 4 of their meals a day instead of 5 and it's been totally fine.

Once you get past the first 4 days it's seriously easy.

I love that everything is pre-made and I've gotten a bunch of really good tips from their discussion boards and their support community is great.

The average weight loss is 5 pounds per week if you stay on plan which is extremely important because after 3 days your body goes into ketosis and if you cheat you get thrown out of it and the diet does you no good. There is also an 8 to 12 week transition phase at the end of your diet where it slowly gets your body back to eating normal food.

Look at the website, it's inspirational.

ok, i am in a mood already.

i don't know how we're going to keep a dog in this townhouse. i can't leave 3 small kids alone in the house to walk him across the court to go out. dan didn't take him out before he went to work (i guess because i didn't specifically ask him to :eyeroll: ) so the dog just shit and pissed on my carpet.

while i was cleaning that up bennett went in and dumped the dog food all over the floor.

then caroline went downstairs and hid in the coat closet.

i'm telling you i am DONE. FRIED. OVER.

oh - but on the bright side dan is planning to (or already did) apply for a job in the middle of nowhere ohio. because what i need is MORE isolation. :sigh:

Good morning!

I'm looking forward to....hmmm, I guess warmer weather and more sunlight.

I'm also looking forward to being done with classes this term, but that means I'm one step closer to starting real nursing school, which is going to be uber intense.

I'll stick with spring smile

I'm also needing less sleep. I've been waking up at around 5:30 each morning, and have had great energy all day. Until 9, when I crash and burn, but I was like that before.

I'm glad you are feeling good!

So I spent 3 entire days getting our toy situation under control.

It wasn't really the amount of toys, it was the organizing and putting game pieces together that was so time consuming.

Oh and having to stop and play tea party and doctor and babies with Sarah every 5 minutes.

It's like Christmas again for her with the toys she hasn't seen in 9 months or so.

I just need to tackle the closet that has our board games today and I'm done.

5 large outdoor garbage bags full of trash from their bedrooms and the playroom.

I heart purging!!

I did this on Friday, but when Dani wasn't home. We have four boxes of toys and stuffed animals to take to Goodwill, and the kids' room and toy room are nice and clean and organized (and by clean, I mean there is nothing stashed in corners, closets, or under beds).

That is incredibly sad.

It's so hard to know what to say when something like that happens; it doesn't make sense, kwim?

Good Morning!

I'm looking forward to being able to go on family walks again come spring.

I'm looking forward to planning a big snow tubing day with the family.

I also just found out that my BIL is planning a party for FIL's 60th birthday this June at the family cabin in BFE Saskatchewan. That means a 16 hour drive and a two hour boat ride across the lake all to deal with billions of bugs and sleeping in a tent. (We got a room in the cabin the first time we went up, but were told no more since the cabin is shared by FIL and his 11 brothers and sisters.) Ugh!

So I had a serious "Oh F*ck" moment on Sunday night.

I was getting all of my papers and things ready for school for Monday morning, and double checked the schedule for a class that started Wed (I had been waitlisted, and need to take it this semester to stay on schedule).

Turns out, the class start LAST FRIDAY.

Holy crap, I was in a panic. Normally, if you don't show for the first class, they drop you and give your seat to someone on the waitlist.

I just found out this morning that I'm safe, since none of the waitlist people showed up and I was the first to contact him (I sent a frantic email on Sunday night).

Whew! But we have a quiz tomorrow on the nervous system, so I have to cram it all in today sans lecture.

Awesome! The boys have been out of town with DH since Friday so I took advantage.

It's easier to clean when there's only one child instead of 3.

Sarah doesn't get that the big garbage bags mean mcdonalds toys going to the dump.

The boys would totally get it and freak.

I just thought of something else I'm looking forward to!

DH and I are going downtown for 3 days this year (instead of our normal two), and I soooo need it! We are going the first week of March, so I'm hoping it's not freezing arse cold by then.

I got a slamming deal on Hotwire (we've stayed at this hotel before, and it's usually $179 a night- I got each room for $49 a night!)

I am thinking we are going to do Second City and Uno's for sure, but the rest is up in the air. Yay for stress-free getaways!

Exactly! Quite a few Squeaquel and creepy Avatar toys (along with some Shrek ones) made their way to the curb. It feels soooo nice.

Juliette was just excited to put things in boxes, lol! She likes to feel useful (even if that makes her a traitor in Danielle's eyes!) smile
