If they don't close Koda's current preK, they will both go there next year three days a week. Koda did not start until 3.5, but I think socially he could have used 3. Tristen is beyond ready. If they had the space, he would already be there.
If they close the preK, which is a strong possibility with the insane state budget cuts going on, neither will be in structured school and we will begin our homeschooling journey a year early with the help of a lot of our college neighbors :) We lack the room, so I am still hoping for the first.
Kate is in her second year of preschool-she started the 2s class before she turned 2, and she stayed in the 2s class again this year. Next year she will skip to the 4s, then she will go to pre-k the year after that.
I only sent Anna for 3s and 4s. Because of the way her birthday falls versus Kate's, she will be done after this and go to K.
Anyway, we LOVE our preschool. COMPLETELY worth every cent. My only regret is that I didn't send Anna when she was 2. But they both love it and I have seen so so so much growth from both of them because of being in school. Socially especially, Anna has just grown heads and tails. And her fine motor skills are much much better. Kate was already pretty social, but they are just blown away with how much her fine motor skills have developed this year and they told me she is 100% ready to move up to the 4s.
I just adore the preschool program we have-at first I wondered if it was worth it, and now I know it is. They just love going-they wish they could go everyday. And I love seeing them blossom. I say 110% go for it. (and we pay that much for one day a week, so that is definitely worth the price in my book!!)
i'm sending C. she'll be just three when it starts. i dont know how much R even got out of the 3s...i dont think it was necessary by ANY stretch. i considered skipping it for C, but i really do need some time to myself. i need to work out again, and i need to get more work done from home (and not at 10pm). plus, preschool is cheaper than what i pay my sitter.
i am not sure how i'm working the days/hours thing. the kids will have different pickup times in separate places, and my sitter doesnt drive. i think C might go one full day (9-230) so that i can go to work that day, and then 3 other mornings. then we'll have one full day together.
I am sending Anna right now 3 days a week. She has done amazing in her class. I had to choose financially between preschool or OT and I think it was a great decision (she still does ST though).
grace will be starting in september. she has an april bday, so she will be closer to 3.5 when she starts. she will go 2 days/week fro 2.5 hours/day. it is $160/month.
B will go 2 days in September. She will be going into the two's class but will be 3 in November. I am just thinking that I need to go observe a two's class. She is probably as ready for a three's class now as Joe was when he was actually three.
