at walgreens tonight. I spent a total out of pocket in three transactions: 9.69 2.13 1.96 and I got back $6.00 in RR to go back tomorrow!!
alot of these were clearance items that I also combined a coupon. Also, I found some wags children's activity books on clearance for .24 and they have $19.00 worth of coupons in them and some stuff is on clearance. (at another wags, they had the children's bandaids on clearance so I am going there tomorrow). My wags had covergirl foundation on clearance for 2.59 and I had two $2.00 off coupons to go with it so I ended up paying 59 cents each!!
I am amazed at the savings that are possible.

i've been buying a ton of those chips ahoy and i'm hitting multiple walgreens today for more. i also need to finish up my electrasol Qs today (do i see any of that in your pic?!??!).
that's GREAT liz. i am like flabbergasted by all of this couponing. seriously amazing. do you guys bring the kids when you have to go to multiple stores? they dont give you a hard time?
also, i cant believe 59 cents for foundation - that's incredible. if everyone couponed, would these companies even stay in business??
idk. i have to think no.
and not that you asked me, but i shop without the kids as much as possible.
i have a walgreens that is 24 hours right by my school so i stop there a few mornings per week to grab a few things and then again on my way home (since i'm sans kids).
i also do a few trips per week in the evening when my kids are in bed to hit the stores with the good deals. i do too many calculations and separate transactions when i'm out to make it feasible with them.

got it. i figured that the whole multiple transaction thing would be impossible with kids. C is barely patient with one transax let alone 3.
that's good that you have conveniently located places to go, too. i dont even know if i have a walgreens near me, and walmart/target are a total PITA for me to get to/park. there's no way i could get there on a weekly basis.
CVS is the only convenient place for me, besides supermarkets. i have an A&P, but i've never heard of most of the markets that you guys go to. the others we have are either traders, or smaller chains...there are stop&shops, but not super close (compared to the other more convenient ones). i think that's prob why i dont know anyone local who uses coupons. kwim?

Kelly....I have tons of walgreens near my house and on my way to places, ie. ivy's school, etc. It is not a big deal to go by one and do a transaction - with a list, it doesn't take long at all. I have taken ivy with me, but obviously, prefer not to.
Last night, I went by myself and had the nicest cashier - she even took my word on the clearance prices when they didn't ring up! I even tell them how to go about doing these deals. Idt they pay any attention though. It is so strange, but Idt most people really believe that you can get all this stuff for next to nothing.

I think the companies plan pretty well. but, I also don't think it is possible or feasable for it to be too widespread to start hurting their profits. most people don't shop this way - ie. most people look at their pantry and make a list and then go shop. this is actually the opposite. I look at the ads and match them up w/ coupons and buy something when it is at a rock bottom price or free. and i want to get enough to last about 6 weeks. i am using it as i would shop at sam's club or something, but cheaper !
