I really only like Log Cabin syrup. The real stuff, blech!!
I'm a dipper. I don't like it poured on top.
log cabin makes a non-HFCS kind which is pretty good.
i'm with you alison - try as i might, i do NOT like the real stuff. i like aunt jemima - top two ingredients are HFCS and CS - yummmm.
i should add, i just finished my last bottle of aunt jemima. i'm converting entirely to the real stuff (trader joe's, which my kids have been using for about 6 mos now anyway), or non-HFCS log cabin if i can find it (it is hard to find somehow, and they dont have it at TJs anyway which is where i do 99% of my shopping). also, we put the syrup right on. i like a moderate amount. nothing outrageous, but i dont skimp either.
by fage, you mean the greek yogurt right? i dont love fage at ALL, but i REALLY love chobani. it's wayyyy thicker, even the nonfat. they have a delicious vanilla flavor too. i dont even mix anything in (though apple butter sounds great - will try that).
i also like it with dried cranberries and nuts.
Yes, the greek yogurt. I'm not sure which Fage you tried, but I am not a fan of the 0% milkfat -- it's too sour for my taste. It's the 2% that I love. (I'm sure I'd love the fully-loaded, too, but don't want that much fat.)
I've seen Chobani, but part of what I love about fage is that it isn't flavored -- it's like a blank canvas, and thus I get to choose whatever I'm feeling like having to go in it... LOL. I'll have to give it a try sometime when I'm getting bored.

greek yogurt (I do non-fat, plain) with honey and smashed banana is one of the few foods I can stomach right now. It's awesome. I love fage. Just tried chobani--they sell the plain in a larger container and then I scoop what I want into a bowl. I will have to try the preserves and apple butter.

i'm pretty sure chobani comes in plain. i feel like the lettering/design on the container is pink? i like the texture way better thank fage.
I can't do anything other than the real thing anymore. Once upon a time, I would've said only Mrs. Butterworth's... but it's funny how one's palate can change over time.
I bought some delicious maple syrup a while ago that was infused with habanero pepper... it was to die for -- but way too expensive to eat on a regular basis. (The girls didn't like it, though. LOL!)
The girls eat the bulk organic stuff that I buy at the store.
Speaking of things that sound disgusting but are delicious, I got a jar of lavender honey for Christmas. It is super yummy in fage before bed -- it feels super decadent, but isn't.
Yum. I should totally try that because I would like to incorporate more yogurt, but I am trying to lower my intake of white sugar.

Did you have the same type of food issues when you were pregnant with Ethan?
(Just trying to decide if I am thinking pink for you or not :) )

Lavender honey sounds yum!!!
That's exactly why I like it. I know I end up adding sugar back in, but I like knowing exactly what it is that I'm adding back in.
Honestly, I went to buy the real stuff once and just couldn't bring myself to spend that kind of money on syrup. I really should try it though because Meghan wants waffles at least 3 times a week. I only drizzle syrup on though and am dreading the day she decides to try it herself and dumps it on and, well, yeah. Life as we know it will be over LOL.
When I use it, I use a moderate amount. I wouldn't say I drench my pancakes/waffles, but I def. do more than drizzle.
And I LOVE to put real butter on waffles but I'll only let myself do it a couple times a year(b/c I don't skimp on the butter either LOL). SO YUM though!

Do you have an EDD yet?
So exciting!
I was charting. Based on that, EDD is Sept 3. But I go to the ob for an ultrasound on Jan 27 to confirm.
And I had food issues but different with Ethan. With him, I was nauseous all the time so I binged on carbs and gained 10 lbs in the first trimester. This time, I feel sick when I eat, not everything but a lot of things. And I'm getting heartburn. So I've been eating smaller meals and sticking to just a few things that don't upset me.
