So I didn't post the cupcake on purpose. It looked demented and evil.
I tried the owl. And the first one looked rather.........wink
So I kept trying and trying. I realized I was doing every single stitch wrong and always have been. So I altered the pattern, relearned all the stitches correctly and began again. I sewed the eye roundies on last night and the owl looked demented w/o safety eyes to give him a more defined looked so I detached the eyes and made it into a coffee cup! No face. I am not good at embroidery or that sort of thing.

It looks a bit different than what its supposed to b/c it was meant to be an owl. The coffee cup has you doing one round on the back loops only. And I didn't decrease the top round to give it a smaller look. But it looks like a coffee cup that DH used to have. So I gave it to him. No face. And now Colin wants one. LOL I'm making one for a little girl in church who always eyes the coffee after service but can never have any. And a bear. And a cupcake that looks like a cupcake hopefully! LOL

KELLY! OMG! How adorable!!!!!!!!

I will do that for ya!

I just bought safety eyes today. Took forever to track them down. They are in with teh doll stuff at AC Moore. All I could find were 12 MM animal eyes. Ah well. So the bear will have giant brown eyes. The better to see with.

biggrin

And I bought felt to do the muzzle. Colin wants a coffee cup and a green bear. I better get to work! I should have them done tonight if I work hard.

And Chele- do it!! You need to do it too! Its super fun and easy! Especially for a crochet re-re like me!
