Good morning!

Don’t fall off of your chairs, I am posting! :giggle

We started back to our routine this morning and were promptly late. UGH! So so hard to get everyone going. And, um yeah, we only had a three day weekend to be out of our routine. :bag

Plans for this week? De-christmas the house, get back into healthy cooking and eating, work, etc. So, nothing thrilling at all.

Oh, it is my wedding anniversary today. Not sure if my hubby even remembers that. Sigh!

omg, it is Becca! :waves:

nice to see you posting!

Happy Anniversary!! boo to your hubby. :(

I usually go by keep things around a week then pitch it if we do not eat. I do not know if that is the right answer or not though.

the allergy appointments went fine. kind of just a check up, i was not sure if they were going to re-test keegan on his milk and egg allergy or not but they are going to wait until we go back in 6 months and then re-test him.

Sappy I am glad that Mikey did not need any transfusions and his count is normal! clap.gif  I will be praying that in June that the cancer free celebration for Mikey will be a great one.  I know you will be thrilled beyond belief, but I have no doubt that everyone of us is genuinely looking forward to celebrating that day as well. smile

Sara I am glad the appointment was uneventful.  My nephew is allergic to dairy and eggs.  It makes cooking tricky, which I am sure you know.  I hope that in six months you won't need to worry about it anymore.

Melissa, I hope you find some simple solutions to your allergy problems.

Sonya did you finally get the pump working?

Becca, glad to see you around.

Leah I hope your day is better.

And now my memory has been used to full capacity. lmao.gif

good afternoon.

John goes back tomorrow not a moment too soon blankstare

I have spent the morning conducting a little test.

I went to our local Kroger to grocery shop but I took a notebook and made a list of everything we purchase regularly and the price.

DS1 and I then went to lunch to chill for a minute.

Then I took the list and headed to WalMart to add their prices in red to my list.

With the exception of maybe 3 items everything was cheaper at WalMart - somethings as much as $2.

I've been feeling so guilty reading everyone's coupon success and wondering if I'm failing my family by not being more aggressive with it so this is where I decided to start.

This Kroger will double up to .50 so there are some deals to be had but to get them is going to cost me time researching, etc. so I'm beginning to feel a little more comfortable in my decision to shop at WalMart, price comp when I can and use coupons that I have on had.

shew - that's a lot of info I know but I've been a busy girl this morning smile

Yesterday was our anniversary and it turned out pretty nice.  Dh and I spent the most time alone in years.  It was nice and I now have a new cell phone instead of the cheapo replacement I had been using.  It's not an I phone, but I like it.  It has a 5 mega pixel camera/w flash.  I am just thrilled to have picture capability again. biggrin

D- I hope Cole is feeling better

Sara- I hope your move goes smoothly despite this nasty cold streak.

happy anniversary!!!  it seems like lots of us have Christmas?/NY anniversaries <3

also, how is E doing?

we have Cole's next IEP next week, and I'm really feeling blah about it all.

Thank you!  I hope yours was happy too.

E is doing better, but I think we have a ways to go.  I talked to her therapists and they thought that it would be a good idea to have her in preschool 5 mornings a week, so that's what we are doing.  I am really starting to see improvements, but it is also making some of her difficulties more obvious to me.  She is talking more about things that happen, but I have noticed that she expresses things in a kind of odd way.  Not necessarily "wrong" but odd.  For example she instead of saying to her friend "you are stepping on my foot!"  She said, "I am hurting!"  It's this speech processing that makes me really think she needs to do some major maturing and why I am most likely waiting another year for kindergarten.  Sorry, that's way more than you probably wanted to know.

I hope Cole's IEP goes well.  Do you think they have had adequate time to make some progress?  If you don't like what's going on tell them what you want in the IEP.  I am happy to share with you strategies and approaches I used and put in IEP's if you want them.  Either way, know that I am thinking of you and hoping for good things.

oh please, yes yes yes!  would love your strategies and advise on the IEPs

they only did one assessment on him back in august

then his last iep was in november, just after he'd been diagnosed with alagilles

they never reassesed him b/c i pulled him out of public schools (b/c they wouldn't make in class accomodations for him without a documented AARD and he was regressing)

your thoughts would be AWESOME!

fwiw, cole is also in a 5 day/week program & will wait another year for kinder.
i'm excited to hear that E is making progress.

kris that is how things are here as well.  and we have a schnuck's but evansville schnuck's do not double coupons.

so i shop at aldi's and walmart and just suck it up that i will never get the good deals unless i move somewhere else.

keegan only napped for 45 min today. i have no idea what is up with that but i do not dig short nap days.  i am sure he will be in bed at 6:30 tonight.

he had also ripped down his rainforest soother.  i put it back up before he fell asleep but when i went in there once he was awake he had it all crooked again. so i had to take it off.

of course knowing owen was climbing out of the crib at keegan's age i can handle just removing a soother..lol
