Another Disney question--1 parent, 2 kids--"doable" or not?

Really curious about the logistics of a Disney World trip with 2 kids. Surely there are many family restrooms there? Idk what I'd do if one kid wanted to ride something and the other didn't. I would never leave Mark by himself but Henry wouldn't want to ride anything without me. He's a big chicken.

Is it just not feasible??

I'd like to take advantage of the "Give a Day, Get a Day" promotion because it will teach my kids to help others AND it will get us the possibility of going to DW.

There are plenty family areas in Disney. We made it with 2 adults and 3 kids but I am not sure how the logistics would work out with 1 adult and 2 kids. I think if both kids were willing to ride most of the same rides I could see it doable. If one didn't want to ride a certain ride and another did I could see that being an issue.

I have never been, but is marl old or tall enough to go on rides that henry will want? If Henry vets there & chickens out or something? Can you find someone to go with? Glen will not even drive somewhere!

I think it would be hard unless Mark was older and they could ride together or if Henry was willing to ride alone.

I just think you'll be limited on the number of rides you can go on.

Just having been to disneyland, I honestly would not to it by myself with two kids.

It would be tough.  If you plan to use the volunteer a day program than maybe you could have someone else do it as well and come along with you?  I would just hate for you to get here and have the kids or yourself disappointed b/c of something like this.   The line waits can be long and really can take up a lot of your day so I would make sure in advance you know who is willing to go on what first.

I agree.  Never been with kids but even at regular amusement parks I never went with 2 kids alone.  Stephen is 15 and would still like someone to ride with him.  More fun that way.

Robin - dont know if you saw this, but the minimum age for this is 6. I wanted to do it with Madi too. I am so disappointed.

I knew Mark wouldn't be able to get the free Disney day but I thought it would still be nice if the boys and I could do something together.

I looked at the list of available opportunities in my area right now, and there is NOTHING that I consider to be "giving". The ONLY items on the list are working the crew or ushering at different plays at Theater Memphis. What kind of volunteering is that?? I was thinking me and the kids could help with Habitat for Humanity or help sort at a food bank or something. NOT show people to their seats at a play. :biggianteyeroll

It says the list changes so hopefully some better opportunities will come.

I hear you. I looked at stuff near us too and could not find anything that Madi could help with. The closest thing to GIVING was being an art buddy to under priviledged kids. I really wanted Madi and Nathan to do something as well, but everything was basically 16 and above to help.
