What a great week for us all. We are all pms'ing. I do hope that can stick to my guns.
Kelly. Let me know how this diet works? What do you eliminate & when?
Good luck to us all. May the force be with us and our ass to leave us :)
we'll see how i do. i'm not used to diets at all. i'm just "cutting back" on the "bad stuff" for this month (this month will be hard to tell since i'm also going off the pill and i'm expecting to be pretty out of whack) - i think in the next 2 months i'll be able to get used to the diet (which is only 2 weeks out of the month for what i'm choosing to do), and i'll be regulated no-pill-wise too.
i'm eliminating a lot of caff (not all, but most), alcohol, red meat, most animal proteins (i'll prob eat a bit of chicken though), cutting down on carbs and sugars. no idea what that leaves me to eat, but i'll figure it out. you're supposed to get serious about the diet in the last 2 weeks of the cycle (day 14-28) - i'm on day 14 now. yesterday i should have cut back but i ate like crap as usual. today i'm serious. i need to get this PMDD thing under control.
i'll keep you all posted. GOOD LUCK YOU GUYS!!! i'd love to see if you guys feel decreases in PMS symptoms with watching your intake also.
Are you taking any sort of fish oil or CLA? I'm taking both, and it's done wonders for my symptoms.
i had been on fish oil for my eyes a while back. i just started it up again. i'm hoping it might help. what's CLA?
It's a form of linoleic acid... although now that I think about it, the CLA is more for weight loss.
I think it's the fish oil that's supposed to be helping the PMS stuff; for you... what about Evening Primrose Oil? (It has CLA in it; it may or may not be redundant with the fish oil, I'm not certain)
yeah i did consider the evening primrose oil. i need to look further into it (thanks for the link). i also have heard st john's wort is good for PMS (bc it's good for depression) but i feel like i want to talk to a doc before i start any of this...i dont want to overload on all these supplements in a haphazard way (and youre right, i want to watch for weight stuff - i dont want any fluctuations - just want to stay even, as i am finally at a good weight which i seem to be naturally maintaining).
I was hoping that cocktail had some biggest loser group, because I need it. Though Im really not motivated to take pictures. hmmm. I am a solid 12 lbs higher than our last biggest loser.
:(
Dude, me too. And it's growing by the day.
I'm regrouping and trying to figure out a new approach, because what I was doing clearly isn't working now.
Come play... we can be depressed together... LOL!
i'm sorry to be happy about this, but i'm SO glad i'm not the only one.
my goal for round 1 is to lose the 15 pounds i gained since the last time i was in MSBL. and it might be more than 15 since i haven't been on the scale in about 3 weeks. :bag
I am up about 15lb from my HIGHEST bl weight. I would love to be that weight again..lol
Me too
and for those of you who where there with me, you KNOW that's not pretty.
Tiffany and amy, I'll send a message to Damon tomorrow and get you added to the folder. Sometime tomorrow, take your scale picture ( no print out needed) and your before pics.
No money due, we are doing it for support (and bragging rights!)

glad you guys want to join!
My scale is not working. I thought it was the batteries but I guess I need to replace it. I wont be able to do that till next week (payday).
I did weigh in at the doctors on Tuesday. I can post the number I just don't have a picture. FWIW- I have started weighing in weekly with my doctor. I've just got to get a handle on this.
Yay! Amy I am so happy to "see" you. Glad to have both of you join. I am loving this big, fun group!
I did my best when I was in MSBL in prior rounds. I have pretty much done nothing but gain weight for the past 18 months and I am now where I started the last time I did MSBL.
I by far am the "biggest" of our group and that is so motivational for me. I am super excited to do this.
