my favorite things to blast and sing in the car are Aretha Franklin or Patsy Cline. Surprisingly, I'm not allowed to play then when anyone else is in the car. I'm an unappreciated singer.
working from home this morning. DH took the kiddos to daycare and DS1 to work with him. QUIET here!!! He is still working the fire reconstruction at their daycare so it is quite convenient for me as far as drop off and pick up. I've had more help from him in the last 4 weeks than in the last 2 years!!
My favorites to jam out to right now - Sex on Fire by Kings of Leon, Bad Bad Girlfriend and Hate my Life by Theory of a Deadman, and She's Country by Jason Aldean. I do not listen to any of these when the kiddos are in the car!
even tho i still have a grapefruit in my crotch, my groin is feeling MUCH better!
on the other side, i have a wicked sore throat and a faucet dripping from my nose - ugh!
just in case my hospital bag is packed, all newborn clothes washed and folded, all misc newborn stuff organised (diapers, wipes, a bottle, pacifier, burp cloth, toiletries etc.). oh yeah - all that thanks to adelaide who is a godsend!
i made my Lux baby list online for those who will buy stuff at the birth (it works like a wedding registry over here, no baby showers). i know that a lot of bertrands clients and colleagues are very generous, so thats cool!
i also ordered a huge online purchase from babies r us that i am shipping to a friends APO address here in lux for free... it was like 600 bucks worth of stuff - and extra bonus today my MIL was here and she wrote me a cheque for the entire amount! SCORE!
now i just need to keep this kid in my tummy for at least 3 more weeks. (and that better happen, cause we are still nowhere with names!!!)
Lately I have been singing to Christmas songs. After that, it's pretty much anything I know the words to. I say I am going to listen to the radio more, but I find it hard to listen to these days. I am one of those people that don't like a bunch of different noises going on at once.
Muffy I sure hope baby keeps staying put and the discomfort improves. That stinks that your throat is sore and nose is dripping now. I hope it is very short lived. Maybe if this baby is a girl, you should name her "Patience". Seriously, I am sure it will be a great name, whatever you decide.
So I was trying to be all nonchalant and put on my heavy fleece robe over my night gown and my all weather mocs to go outside in the snowy weather to take the trash down to the curb. I look out and don't really see anyone around and slip outside and around to the garbage cans. The one is really more like a gigantic bin and on wheels. I tilted it back and started going down our small hill like driveway in the nice new snow. I get half way down and WIPE OUT! Amazingly I didn't spill any of the trash.
What I learned..... Fleece robes are excellent in snow. I wasn't cold or wet. Now that doesn't do so well at making you feel like a total fool as you are laying in the driveway in your robe covered in snow, but at least I wasn't really hurt.

Libby--Glad your fall only made you feel silly. I'm always out in my driveway in my robe or just pj's too.
Megan--Boo that you're now sick on top of it all. Yay for MIL's helping out!!
Kris--Hooray for helpful husbands!
Anywho, Toes is my current loud song, but I usually listen more to talk radio these days.
Today is Mark's birthday and our 9th Anniversary. How did that happen!? Carter spiked a fever yesterday and sort-of-puked once this morning, but seems ok right now. We get to go our for dinner tonight and send the kids to my parents.

Happy Anniversary! I hope Carter is feeling better so you are able to enjoy your dinner. Where are you going? We have our anniversary Sunday and still haven't figured out what we are doing.
I sing along with EVERYTHING... the sure fire "Oh shiz, roll up the windows, because you are going to EMBARRASS yourself being THAT loud" would be pretty much any 80s pop song (george michael, prince, duran duran guarantee that I'll be crazy loud) Lady Gaga, Adele, and Regina Spektor.
And sadly, lately that TikTok song by Kesha is forever on the radio, and therefore, I am forever singing along, lol.
/novel.
God, I hope my new kcups come today. I'm not enjoying the cup I just made as much as I'm anticipating enjoying the ones I ordered.

I know a girl named patience. She is soo sweet. They named her that because they had like 7 boys before her. LOL.
I am cleaning today. ALL day. Does anyone else get the urge to do a MASSIVE clean before the new year? I go back to work tomorrow so whatever I get done today is it. We will be taking down the Christmas stuff when Kent gets home. Over Christmas.
Leah I love that tick tock song!
I'm like Libby in that I will really sing along to anything. I really like I think it's called Empire state of mind right now? Kanye and someone else? I don't know. Fireflies by Owl City, Oh I like that meet me halfway song, can't remember who sings it. I love making mixed cd's and playing those in the car. Usually stuff with no cuss words because Hannah loves to listen and sing too. I'll turn down the volume if I know a bad word is coming so far Hannah hasn't caught on to that trick.

Thanks! Right now we're debating between PF Chang's and a new restaurant called BD's Mongolian Grill. The latter reminds me of Fire and Ice, a restaurant in Harvard Square that I loved when I lived there. We'll see!!
