Howdy.

I don't think any one particular NYE stands out in my memory.

I also don't have any plans for this NYE, just don't really feel like going out.

as for TODAY....I ainta doin JACK! I'm sitting around on my big arse crocheting a market bag, dishcloth set, and then starting either the afghan or baby afghan I have lined up to do.

Supa, Hannah loves LP still... at other people's houses, lol. She never played with them here (after 2ish), and we got rid of them, though.

I have verified that my mom is going to watch Hannah on NYE, though. Although, it is not without cost... "You're going to your sister's to drink, huh? Are you alcoholics? I saw you both with a glass of wine at both Christmas Eve AND Thanksgiving."

Oy.

lmfao.  ONE glass of wine???  OMG, you are not kidding that it won't be free, lol!!!!  But yay for an evening out!!!

Yes, see, my girls will play with them at my mother's house.  Maybe I should take them over there.  They are just taking up space here.

Right?!? lmao.

She's not a drinker, and it shows... Especially when we have a family get together and she's yelling that she can't believe we 6-12 people drank 2 bottles of wine.

She'd really crap if she saw how much we drank when she isn't around, lmao.

OMG, can you imagine???  That is nothing for that many people!!!  Has she always been a non drinker?

Yipee for a day of relaxation!!!  That is fantastic!!!  I have a few things I am going to try to do today, but not much.  I just want to relax and recover from Christmas.

I'm feeling very grinchy at this point.

There are toys everywhere and I have no motivation to clean.

My kids NEED to go back to school so that when I do clean, they won't immediately make more messes.

One of my SILs could use some P&PT. She has been sick for almost a year now. They thought it was lyme, they thought it was a host of other things, then they thought it was kidney stones. Now they have NO idea what is going on, but she didn't even come to anything over Christmas because she can't hold anything down and has terrible diarrhea. She is tiny as it is, but has lost like 12 pounds, which she can NOT afford to have lost. I feel just awful for her. Her life has been turned upside down, and no one knows why.

She has had these symptoms, but a lot of pain, extreme fatique, joint pain, etc. I just wish she could even get a diagnosis.

So if you have a few to spare, her name is Kristin, and she could really use the prayers.

oh no. how sad.

My cousins have a very close family friend who it sounds like has the same thing. She's a teacher and hasn't been able to work for over a year. Completely life-ruining.

You know, I saw that Paul Blart movie, and I really didn't think there were mall cops who rode on those segway things. But then while I was Christmas shopping, I saw them everywhere!!!

Who knew!!! But it did make me laugh. I wonder if they all hate that movie?

Oh yes-the toy mess.  I can't take it either.  And I want the tree down too.

UGH-I need some motivation.  This house is a disaster!!!

we have a winter advisory for tomorrow...the forecast is 35 degrees with a 70% chance of precip---being 1/2-2 inches of snow, rain and/or freezing rain.

Keely has a dr appt for more adhd meds...I think we are going to increase her dose. her dose was dropped for the summer, but she grew a couple inches and overall I dont think the lower dose is working for her for school. shes been on the next higher dose though and other than having to REALLY make sure she eats, her grades and behavior in school were A LOT better.

BUT with the nasty weather coming tomorrow, I've asked Don to drive. I can't just reschedule bc Keely's ped is BOOKED and it's always hard to get an appointment....Keely is usually squeezed in bc of her med checks...which reminds me---I have to find where I put the vanderbilt forms her teachers filled out confuse

Really?  That is awful-I know my SIL just can't function well anymore.  I am not sure she is going to work these days, but until this latest round of not being able to hold anything down came up, she was.  But she was having Joe or her mom pick her up and drop her off-she doesn't drive anymore.

It really is sad.  At least I KNOW what I am dealing with, kwim?  This has been ongoing for so long, and they still aren't any closer to figuring out what is causing all of this.

I'll say prayers for your cousins' friend.

Are your kids still playing with Little People?

Mine hardly do and I want to get rid of them. But Bill is resistant. It is just that we need the space!!! My girls really play mostly with those polly pocket sized princesses and the barbie sized ones. Sometimes baby doll type stuff, and sometimes instruments or something. And dress up a lot too.

We need more men though-they are obsessed with their princesses getting married. Kate is starting to have sleeping beauty and snow white get married, even though Anna gets all upset at her because she says, "They are both GIRLS. You need a MAN!"

lmao

Little People...Daniel lines them up then runs his RC car or monster trucks over them .

should I be worried? weirdface.gif

Happy Monday!

We have run our errands, run the boys at open gym and then the playground despite the ice, and now the boys and I are relaxing at home to the Buzz Lightyear cartoon that Santa brought Koda.

Most memorable New Years Eve- 1998.  I was sort of seeing a guy, met up with him at First Night Boston, made it official that night, go an awesome New Years Eve Kiss.  11 years later I'm married to someone else, he is openly gay and in a very committed relationship which would be marriage if my state had actually passed it.  Boo.  (He was probably the best kisser I dates though, lol)

This year?  Big fat nothing.  Not even a big meal.  Just a normal day for us.  NYE is never a big event in our home.

How funny about your NYE!!!!  Are you still friends with that guy?

We haven't done much on NYE for a long time.  We don't do a big meal either-but Bill almost always wants to make wings.  We bake them though.  It takes a long time, but it is so much easier and neater than frying, and they taste just as good.

Not only friends, he sang at my wedding.  Love him, just in a different way now :)

NYE memories...

hmmm

the first year we were in boston, we flew home to NS for Christmas and back to Boston on NYE. It was FREEZING cold and we walked around the First Night NYE stuff all over Boston. It was the second coldest I ever was in Boston (the first being a month later at the Pats Superbowl celebration... brrrrr).

After wandering around we got back to the apartment which overlooked the city. Mike went to bed at 11:30 (he's a NYE grinch) and at just about 12, I put on the TV to see if I could watch the fireworks (in bed). As the fireworks were starting, I looked out our window and you could see the whole show - they were being shot off straight out from our apartment!

The cats watched them with me since Mike wouldn't even roll over and look at them with me. Grinch.

I don't think we are doing anything for NYE.

Mike asked my mom if she would babysit (she said she'd take the kids some night) and I almost fell over.
