Morning!

Kelly, sorry the kids are sick.

Kristi, a photo class sounds awesome! For all you other D40 folks out there I found this http://www.kenrockwell.com/nikon/d40/users-guide/index.htm awhile back and I learned to do so much with my camera that I didn't even know about. The Expilcit Details at the bottom of the page is where I found most of my tips.

I need to know who's preggo! Someone please tell me!! (I think I know one!)

Since my Dad lost his job last year, my parents just buy for the kids. My IL's got me super fun bear paw mittens, a wallet thing, and $$$.

My favorite is probably my Kindle from the kids. Mark goes overboard every year. I'm not supposed to feel bad because he just bought himself a snowmobile.

Joe's mom got me a Keurig. For the first morning in about 15-16 months, I'm not in a blind homicidal rage. So amazing.

I also got the ridiculous looking coat from Joe's dad and stepmom. They are interesting (cough) people, and kept making this huge deal about how the coats were made in Nepal. Freaking hidious, they are. And it weighs about 50 lbs, but it is so dayum warm that I don't care that it's rainbow and that I look like a fat lesbian. It ranks up there pretty good, too, lol.

btw, I am in need of someone to pm me about these pregnancies, too, lol. I have a good idea about one, but it's killing me not to know, lol.

I'm thinking we need to see a pic of this coat!

It's coat 8 in the handknit section... it's not pretty, but like I said, it's so warm that I do NOT care, lol.

hmm, i think my favorite might be this jcrew sparkly hat mike got me.

the kids are so sick :(
my friend who's a nurse was over for drinks last night, and i asked her to go upstairs and listen to cara - she said it's croup :(
but i had brought her into the doc yesterday and they said she's just sick. my friend said the croup symptoms are often only evident at night though.
and R just puked twice, and she had puked on christmas, and has been running a low fever since christmas.  plus major congestion for both of them, and sore throats (no strep).
ug!!

ugh, so sorry. That is tough when they are sick. I just dealt with the pukies for my first real tour and it was rough. I hope they both recover quickly.

bertrand surprised me with a beautiful framed original photograph.

its black and white, and its an old pic of antique christmas ornaments (with funny hooks, more like wires, attached) laid out on a white tablecloth.

it SO captures my love of christmas and obsession with tree ornaments - it could not be more perfect and i burst into tears while looking at it (damn preggo hormones).

and thats what i love so much about bert - there is no obligation to ever get a gift - but then once in  a while he finds something so special and perfect for me it totally melts my heart...

he got it in a gallery. apparently the photographer is famous and now deceased... i should look it up a bit more.  with all the excitement of 4 days of houseguests, i am just thrilled they are finally gone lol!

How sweet and touching. Those kind of gifts make you realize they do know you and what you like.

My favorite present is that I get to take a Nikkon class on a Saturday in Jan from 9:30 to 4:30 and Rob's going to be with the kids all day.

It basically shows you how to use your camera and I am not a manual person, I need someone instructing me.

I also got this which I'm so excited about.

http://www.brookstone.com/video-accessories_iconvert-digital-video-converter.html?bkiid=categoryLandingPage_Electronics_Video_Equipment|C4CategoryProdList1FDT|7892993

I can transfer VHS and my old video camera tapes onto my computer.

I've been wanting to do this for a long time but I'm so scared to take them somewhere and have the place lose them.

That is awesome. My Dad would love that. He has so many VHS home movies. I think you just gave me the best gift idea ever. Have you used it yet? Let me know how it goes.

No, no, that is not good enough.  I need a pic of you in it. I like some of the other jackets. Yours does look like the gay pride coat :) I bet it is warm though.

I was so spoiled this year. I must have been a very good girl.

I love my Keurig and my sundance Uggs. I know a lot of people think Uggs are ugly, but these are like a little bit of heaven on my feet.

Off to my moms for one more turkey dinner.

Watching the kids in the bath before we go.

Happy to spend time with family but lazy enough to want to stay here.

I'm totally addicted to doing jigsaw puzzles.

I bought a 750 piece one to do instead of stupid games on the internets. Now I'm hooked.

Have fun today :)

I have totally made progress in this pit I call home.

All toys are to children's rooms.

We have turned Kate's room into play central.  It's a huge room - used to be DH's office prior to Kate.  Since Kate about 1/2 is Kate's room and the other half is work out stuff and DH's guitars.  Now it is 1/2 Kate's room, 1/2 wii/play room.  So far it's working out well.  We are having so much fun with that wii!!!!!!

I just bought our tickets for Avatar for tomorrow at Imax.
$46 for 1 adult and 2 children.
Ack!
2 hours 40 minutes
I hope it's good!
I wasn't going to take Jake but when he heard DS1 and I making plans to go he said "OH YEA - when are WE seeing Avatar?" so I can't leave him behind.
