hmm, i think my favorite might be this jcrew sparkly hat mike got me.

the kids are so sick :(
my friend who's a nurse was over for drinks last night, and i asked her to go upstairs and listen to cara - she said it's croup :(
but i had brought her into the doc yesterday and they said she's just sick. my friend said the croup symptoms are often only evident at night though.
and R just puked twice, and she had puked on christmas, and has been running a low fever since christmas.  plus major congestion for both of them, and sore throats (no strep).
ug!!

Morning!

My new Canon Powershot digital camera is my favorite gift!

I also love all the other stuff I got.

My favorite thing Henry got was Zoo Tycoon for the computer.

That is SOOO fun.

Henry is at his first "real" sleepover.

He spent the night at my friend Kimberly's house twice this past summer; that was his first time anywhere besides my parents' house.

Payton's mom called yesterday about 4pm to ask if Henry could sleep over last night for Payton's birthday--which is today.

Henry was very excited.

When I told Henry about it, I had NO IDEA that Mark's reaction would be: BURST INTO TEARS, "Waaaaaaaaah!!! How come I never get to sleep at anybody else's house? WAAAAAAAH!!" And he ran in his room and slammed the door.

Henry and I tried to go to WM to get Payton a present but the traffic was so bad that I gave up and came back toward home to go to Kroger.

I'm glad I did because they had the Game of Life--what I was going to get at WM--on sale for $9.99.

And no crowds.

For Glen's family, the adults draw names so each adult gets one present.

I didn't know who got my name, and Glen said he never gave my idea list to anybody so I was a little worried.

Glen's sister sells catalog stuff for a living--like knick-knacks and other useless items--so I was more than a little worried.

But when I opened my gift, it was a beautiful red sweater and a red wallet. Perfect color, perfect size, very pleased.

Glen's grandfather drew my name so of course his grandmother picked out my gift.

I'm wearing the sweater now. heart.gifheart.gif

bertrand surprised me with a beautiful framed original photograph.

its black and white, and its an old pic of antique christmas ornaments (with funny hooks, more like wires, attached) laid out on a white tablecloth.

it SO captures my love of christmas and obsession with tree ornaments - it could not be more perfect and i burst into tears while looking at it (damn preggo hormones).

and thats what i love so much about bert - there is no obligation to ever get a gift - but then once in  a while he finds something so special and perfect for me it totally melts my heart...

he got it in a gallery. apparently the photographer is famous and now deceased... i should look it up a bit more.  with all the excitement of 4 days of houseguests, i am just thrilled they are finally gone lol!

Joe's mom got me a Keurig. For the first morning in about 15-16 months, I'm not in a blind homicidal rage. So amazing.

I also got the ridiculous looking coat from Joe's dad and stepmom. They are interesting (cough) people, and kept making this huge deal about how the coats were made in Nepal. Freaking hidious, they are. And it weighs about 50 lbs, but it is so dayum warm that I don't care that it's rainbow and that I look like a fat lesbian. It ranks up there pretty good, too, lol.

btw, I am in need of someone to pm me about these pregnancies, too, lol. I have a good idea about one, but it's killing me not to know, lol.

Good morning.

My favorite present is that I get to take a Nikkon class on a Saturday in Jan from 9:30 to 4:30 and Rob's going to be with the kids all day.

It basically shows you how to use your camera and I am not a manual person, I need someone instructing me.

I also got this which I'm so excited about.

http://www.brookstone.com/video-accessories_iconvert-digital-video-converter.html?bkiid=categoryLandingPage_Electronics_Video_Equipment|C4CategoryProdList1FDT|7892993

I can transfer VHS and my old video camera tapes onto my computer.

I've been wanting to do this for a long time but I'm so scared to take them somewhere and have the place lose them.
