robin, i'm SO glad you mentioned shopping.

i went to old navy, gymboree (had gift cards to both), gap, restoration hardware, target, kohls and the grocery store.

at old navy, i spent $90 ($50 was on a gift card) and got 4 pairs of jeans, 6 shirts for my niece and a pair of jeans for her too (it's her bday on tuesday), 3 shirts for jake, a shirt for jake, a sweater and a shirt for me.

at gymbo, i got emily an outfit with matching bows, jake 7 pairs of underwear (they were in a 7-pack originally priced $25 and they were $4.99!), em a pair of pj's, jake 3 pairs of shorts and a polo for $30.

at gap, everything on sale was an extra 40% off. i got jake 3 shirts, a pair of shorts, emily a pair of jeans, a t-shirt, 2 long sleeved shirts and a pair of leggings for $40.

restoration hardware was for bday gifts for my dad (tuesday) - they have all those fun knick-knacking type toys and stuff for the holidays and they were all half-off. i got him a pull-string flashlight, a handwarmer, a lighted hose nozzle and a survival kit in a sardine can for $30.

kohls had a few good deals - fleece pj's were $6 and i found a lightning mcqueen shirt for $5.

i tried to get wrapping paper at target, but it was GONE! craziness back there. phew!

good shopping day. :)

Can I just say how proud I am of my little boy?

He asked for two things from Santa - a bakugan and some hotwheels.

He obviously got more but after just our christmas at home (santa presents - not over the top at all) he said in the car on the way to christmas dinner:

"I can't believe how much stuff santa brought. I got so many gifts that I don't think he needs to come next year. I'll skip a christmas. I have enough."

Can you believe that? Amazing.

I feel like a train hit me.

My house looks like a tornado came through. I am just going to relax and enjoy the mess today. Let the kids play and go nuts and then tomorrow I have to gut rooms and purge stuff to make room for the new stuff. We are taking the old toys to the shelter for women. Some of them I will save for Mia and put in the attic, but we have way too much stuff. The girls are spoiled.

Rich is at the Motor City bowl today. It is two crappy teams I think, but he is on the sidelines so he should have fun. I am with the girls all day. Allie is watching her Tinkerbell movie and I am relaxing.

April - Love my Keurig. I so far like the Green Mountain Dark Magic and The Paul Newman Exra Bold.

yippee!!!  so glad you like it!

are those from the sampler?  if so, i'd HIGHLY recommend the green mountain espresso and/or sumatran blend.  i might have some of both of them at work - i could send you a trial if you want! :)

I ordered two boxes of the GM expresso. I figured I would like it and have not tried the    sumatran yet. I would love a sample if you have it. I pretty much have figured I like the bolds. I got like 75 cups with my machine. One box was a sampler. I wished they sent a bigger sampler.

I love how easy it is and now I do not have to worry about making dang coffee. It is such a sinch.

does anyone else have ridiculously ugly heals?
mine are so dry and I try everything to straighten them up to no avail.
I soak them, lotion them, sock them.  Nothing is a good, long term fix.
My MIL got me a foot spa for x-mas.  I soaked them last night, lotioned them and they were soft and felt GOOD at bedtime.  Now, 24 hours later they look like I'm 89 and have walked 16 miles in the dessert.
WTF??

I made Kristi's corn casserole to take to MIL yesterday.
Got lots of compliments on it.
I have been having a love affair with corn for some time so I wouldn't have cared if no one ate it . . . it would have left that much more for me!!

I could go on all night.
Or until the snuggling turns into fighting.
Or my DH comes out looking for me.

John got me a digital picture frame for my desk at work.
it holds 4,000 pictures.
doesn't that seem like a TREMENDOUS amount of photographs.
in 2009 I think I've taken roughly 2,000 pictures.
that means I can have almost 2 entire years of pictures on the thing.
I doubt I can scroll through 4K of pictures in 1 day!
