Stacey, have a great white Christmas! We still have snow from our blizzard last weekend, but nothing new. Which is just fine with me!

I love Travis.  The Childrens Place order I wanted for Christmas is stuck on a truck because the university is closed.  He tracked them down and got them to agree to set it aside for pick up between 5-7.  It isn't even critical and I had written it off, but now I am so freaking excited!!

My Fav Christmas Eve memory is from when I was a kid and we would all gather at my grandma's have at a table full of snack foods and desserts and open prezzies.

I really miss that and was just telling my mom we should start that at her house.

OMG I have to tell you all a very embarrising moment for me from Monday.

We were at DH grandma's house for an early chirstmas dinner. Well the family has basically grown to big for that house. We were getting ready to leave and the kiddos were in the entry way waiting for me to gather stuff. We FIL started coming through with a crock pot and tripped on something and almost fell on the kids. Well I was bent right there packing the diaper bags so with those mommy reflexes I swung my arm out to catch him. Since I was bent over my hand went right inbetween his legs and grabed him you know where. noOMG I was sooooooo embarrased. I grabed my FIL junk.

I'm sure I was bright red and EVERYONE was cracking up.

OMG!!  That is freaking hysterical!  I am quite sure you didn't find it funny, but really, that is a classic story!

Fancy Nancy arrived today (just in time!)

But I went out this morning and bought another doll for her. Which do you like better:

Official Nancy:

or Groovy Girl:

They're both cute dolls but I think I like Fancy Nancy better.

I went to Kroger today for some completely non-essential items--bananas, potatoes, tin foil, that kind of thing.

What a mistake.

There were 4,323,485,999 people there.

And there are only about 200 parking spaces.

WHAT WAS I THINKING?

Anyway, my kids were really glad because I got cheetos, hot dog buns, and Stouffer's mac&cheese.

We had a delicious lunch.

I also got corn on the cob which I'll fix with dinner.

Forget Mommy kissing Santa Claus!

I would have died if I did that with my FIL!!! I think a whole bottle of Jack would have been downed to make me forget that night!!

Whenever we have breakfast for dinner at church on Wednesday evenings, they serve these delicious potatoes that we all call "breakfast potatoes". They're like little triangle-shaped french fries. We all like them.

I'm going to attempt to make them for my mom's Christmas breakfast tomorrow morning.

I looked up recipes for "breakfast potatoes" then quickly discovered these are actually "home fries".

The recipe I found had a gajillion good reviews so hopefully I can make them successfully.

(I was REALLY hoping I could find some frozen ones somewhere but it looks like I'm starting with whole potatoes. :sigh:)

Sonya, I'm guessing the groovy doll would be far less of a nightmare to return.  I'd say go with Fancy Nancy.  Or give both, lol.
