I'll answer both questions: I listen to my ipod everywhere and it has all kinds of music on it.
I think my fave memory would be the year I was 9 or 10 and my grandparents bought me a tv for my room. My cousin Brandon got one too. I can't remember my exact age, because one of those years we got a tv, and the next it was a stereo and I can't remember which was first. I do remember my first album though. It was the wizard of Oz soundtrack, LOL!!
We didn't think we were going to have any money to get presents and then the day before Christmas Eve his tax return arrived in the mail (he filed late b/c of the separation w/ his ex). We went and did our Christmas shopping and he surprised me w/ an engagement ring. He had already proposed two months beforehand. So on Christmas Eve when we were alone he got down on one knee and proposed again with the ring.
And I think this one is going to be a favorite b/c it feels like we're all complete. Every Christmas felt empty and like something/one was missing and now w/ Adelaide here it feels like we're *finally* all together and complete.
Does that sound crazy?
There is a small red box under the tree for me and its driving me nuts b/c I don't know what it is. I always pick out my gifts. I always get them early. And this year I have to wait. And I want to, want to, want to know oh so bad what that box is.
I don't really have any Christmas eve memories other than not being able to sleeep because I was so excited for Santa to come. lol!
I really only listen to my ipod when I work out. I just got it though, so maybe that will change. I don't have too much music on there yet, but I do have Empire state of mind by Jay-Z and Alicia Keys. I LOVE that song!
my favorite christmas eve memory was when my brother would have been 3 or 4 (he's 7 years younger than me).
we (bro, sis and I) were 'practicing' waking up on Christmas morning. They would run into my room, we would all get into my bed, giggle, and then run out to see what was under the tree. Repeat. I'm pretty sure that was the year my sister and I got up at 3 am and sat in front of the test pattern on the tv (ah, the years before cable) curled up under a blanket.
I don't know exactly if my memory is from one or a culmination of many, but when I was little my Mom's side of the family had a huge Christmas Eve party. The house was packed and I would play with my cousins. I had great aunts and uncles, second and thrid cousins, and tons of other family that were there. Then towards the end of the night Santa would come and bring each one of us a present. After that we would go to my Grandma's house and open presents.
Favorite Christmas Eve Memory- wow, so many. I think the one that makes me lol the most is when I was 9-10 or so, we used to eat our favorite pizza and open our gifts Christmas eve so there wasn't a rush the next morning. My brother got electronic battleship and we were playing. Unknown to me, our very very fat cocker spaniel decided to eat my whole pizza (they are individual). I threw a fit because the fat dog ruined my christmas eve. Tragic at the time, of course I can look back and understand why everyone else was just laughing :)
Ipod- love love love audiobooks (we get them from the library too). I have whatever new I am listening to, and always one of the twilight novels as a backup. Right now I think Eclipse is on there, I was just listening to it the other day at the gym :)
My favorite Christmas Eve...hmmm...I think the year Juliette was born. It was a great year; the first year in our house, we had a nice dinner with the in-laws, and watched Yule Log and chatted a long time. I remember it as being so calm and feel just perfect. I'm hoping this year turns out like that (new house, calm, etc).
We have been SOOOO sick here. Like, the worst kind of sick (the gastrointenstinal kind). It started with my niece, and burned through the entire house like a fire.
I feel completely hung over today, which I'm sure is due to dehydration. Juliette developed a high fever yesterday, which I'm also betting is partly due to dehydration.
DH (who miraculously did not get this super bug), just got home from work, and is ready to head down to his parents' house (after he takes a quick nap, of course).
I love him, but I'm tempted to smash his head with a skillet to keep him knocked out for the next 12 hours or so.
Last month, Juliette was asking for a Roboraptor from Santa. She was pretty specific; she wanted the white one (her sister has one, and is kind of stingy with sharing it).
I bought her the Monty Rex instead, and showed her pictures, etc. Hoping to burn the cool new soft dino image in her mind.
Just now, she crawled in my lap, and is so excited about tomorrow. I asked what she was most excited about, and she says:
"Getting my own white roboraptor!" She looked sooo excited.
I said, "well, what about the other dinosaurs? didn't you want that?"
The child actually started crying! She kept saying "Santa wants to bring me the roboraptor-that's what I wanted."
Holy crap, where am I going to find this thing?!?! I just called two Craigslist listings, and I hope one of them still has it.
I don't really have an answer for either of those questions.
I got all of my stuff done and now I can relax and enjoy the next two days. Well I still have to put the dollhouse together.
We're all going to the movie theater today and splitting up. I'm taking Sarah to the princess and the frog and Rob's taking the boys to alvin and the chipmunks, the squeakuel (I love saying that).

Merry Christmas!! We woke up to 8 inches of new snow. It's supposed to start again this afternoon for another 12 at least. How fun!!
I have so many great memories. I specifically remember the year Santa came and he knew everything about me. I was amazed and I couldn't figure out who Santa was because everyone was present.
Favorite Christmas Eve memory - the night Jake was born. 11:16 pm, Christmas Eve, 1999. What a special day. I can't believe it has been 10 years today.
Toni, I hope everyone feels better soon. Those stomach bugs are really the worst. As for the dinosaur, I really hope someone on Craig's list has one - I feel your pain!
I made a similarly dumb mistake two nights ago - I made one of the portable North Pole videos for Natalie and I put Barbie as her Christmas gift (she has been asking for Barbies for weeks). Well, wouldn't you know that she got totally upset after Santa said she was getting a Barbie and not a baby Belle doll. Never once has she mentioned a baby Belle doll. I called every ToysRUs, Target and Walmart on Long Island - sold out everywhere. I took a chance and tried BabiesRUs - and it was a Christmas miracle - one baby Belle left. The sales person warned me that her hair was completely messed up, but I grabbed it anyway.
I really hope something works out for you, too!! :hugs
