after being so undecided, I went ahead and bought the loving family super set and put it together last night. I have to say...I am unimpressed. I really should have just bought the wooden one. (I can't return it b/c I already threw all the wrappings away and it is put together). but, I am sure she will love it (it is for her after all ;) lol
why unimpressed? not to sound rude, but the kids totally love that one over a wood one. I think parents dream of wood ones more and kids do not even give it a second thought.
allie loves her dollhouse and plays with it often when she is at her Nana's.
I agree with the others. Natalie has this http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3051012 and she LOVES it! I don't even know where the pieces are - she just uses whatever little doll or dog she can find in her pile of toys, lol.
My girls have the version before this one came out, and they're playing with it right now actually! : )
Ivy will love it, I promise!
Also, they play with everything in there---Polly Pockets, Littlest Pet shop animals, the Disney princess figurines, etc. It's like plastic heaven over here! haha
(I did get them a wooden dollhouse for Christmas this year. It's this one--http://www.leapsandbounds.com/catalog/product.jsp?productId=534290&cmSource=Search- I figured that they needed a whole neighborhood since they have so many little "people" to play with! : ))
I agree with the rest... I know she'll love it! About 50% of Hannah's dollhouse furniture is from the sets made for that dollhouse, and they are by far, her favorite accessories. It really is great stuff.

I meant that I love the wooden ones that are really detailed (think fabric curtains, real bed linens, etc.)
I don't care for the really bare wooden ones. Since I'm not crafty and could never afford to get a really nice wooden one, the loving family was my compromise, but I am sure she will love it!
she'll totally love it. i have plastic dollhouse envy, having 2 woodens. i think you cant totally win either way - lol.
I was at pbk last night and saw that their dollhouse was on sale for $159.00 and with my discount, I could have bought it for $127.00. So that was my regret :( but of course I would have had to furnish it. (I ended up buying her these sheets that were on clearance and with the 20% discount, they came to $40.00!)
but, everyone is right, she will love it. It is really cute, and I looked at some more of the playsets to get and I like the idea that you can add to it.
