(I guess it all relative what "well" means, but however you define it - do you think that you will age well?)
I was just looking at pictures of celebrities (now and then) and was amazed at the differences - some look so old at 56 while others look great.
don's sil is 65 and she looks younger than her daughters - she is seriously one of the most beautiful people. I don't know what her secret is, but she looks great. (for those on Fb - her last name starts with a "K". )
anyway, I hope I age as well as she does, but I don't know.
i DID get my upper eyelids lifted a few years ago - but my dad had that too and had vision problems so i guess it is hereditary.
i just try to live healthy - i never suntan - not even as a child (that damn fair skin and red hair), never smoke (that REALLY ruins a womans beauty as she gets older...all those lines around the mouth area and yellow teeth - YUK!), try to exercise and keep within a good weight range.... and smile and be happy!
nope. i wont. i am already aging pretty terribly. i have been wrinkly (fine lines) since HS. i have one of those faces that SUPER contorts when i smile. huge smile, major crows feet (which i like though - i wouldnt trade the huge smile for anything). i've been graying since 18 too. the only thing i have going for me is that i seem to have a good metabolism. i dont think i'll ever be overweight. but face/hairwise? definitely will be loaded with wrinkles. i never tan and try to drink a lot of water...
My parents aged really well... but I'm fat and smoke, so I'm not holding out a lot of hope at this point, lol. (Although I do have intentions to turn both those things around, lol)
i don't think i will age well. i already feel like i have way too many wrinkles for my age. my mom has a lot for her age too. however, i will say that most people think i look much younger than i actually am (but maybe they are just being nice, lmao).
i am not sure, really. i keep hearing that i have a young face and my mom looks fantastic for 58 (almost 59) but ...
i'm fat & i smoked for 10+ years so.....
i'm hoping that having quit smoking over a year ago and not smoking EVER again will help my face. Also, I'm starting to use some products on my face including sunscreen to help protect it from now on. i'm just now starting to think about how poorly i've treated my skin.
I am fat and have had horrible eating habits most of my life (which I am turning around successfully), and I smoked for a number of years. But I think much of that is reversible, as long as you don't let it go on too long.
I have always had oily skin. So I have far fewer wrinkles than most of the other moms I know who are my age or a few years younger-especially around the eyes. Not to say I have zero, but I really don't have many, and the oily skin is the thank on that one.
I do have a ton of grays, but i can keep that covered!!!
So I think I will be one of those people who looks her age for the most part. What I find interesting is how much I am bothered these days with looking older-I never thought I would!!!
Nope. For a good 10 years people have told me I look older than I am. According to the latest person to tell me that, I look closer to 40 than 32. Honestly, I don't care that much. I've never cared what's on the ouside more than a little either with me or other people.
I've been going gray since 19, and have a fair amount of wrinkles, but I got carded when buying smokes 2 years ago (I was 31!), LOL. My mom looks younger than her age despite wrinkles - she just has a more youthful look to her, as did her mother. So I'd say I have a good shot at aging well.
I've always been told that I look young for my age but I'm not being told that as much now.LOL I care more about my health as I age and not my look. My mom is 71 and has the skin sagging like a bulldog but she is extremely healthy.
