Seriously, nobody watches this? I am DYING to talk about it!!! Probably the most unexpected/best (not necessarily in a good way) season finale I have ever seen. And I've seen a lot of 'em!
I'm here! Are you still here??? Seriously, what do you think they will do next season? I love this show, I love that they had such a ballsy ending that you didn't see coming. At least I didn't see it coming.
I know, it's like not until October, right? Cuh-razy! I didn't love Rita either but I loved that it made Dexter a family man, kwim? I am just thinking he is going to get into some crazy crap next season b/c he doesn't have anyone to answer to in a sense.
At the point where I *thought* it was over I checked to see how much time was left and was like, huh??? What else could happen.
And then even when he got home I was like, okay. I thought it was going to be that Rita had found him out. Even when her phone rang I was thinking something is up but I did NOT see her being murdered coming until they showed the baby sitting in all the blood. Unbelievable. Do you think it was just a coincidence that he was in the blood, like Dexter?
Also, do you think he is going to try and cover it up as a suicide? I mean, if it becomes part of the Trinity killings then it is very likely that Arthur's family would see him on TV and say he is Kyle Butler, kwim? I thought he was found out when he was in the garage at Arthur's too. Seriously, they did a phenomenal job keeping it a secret and making it believable that he was almost caught but not quite. I am still SHOCKED!!!
I don't know anybody IRL that watches it!!! Well, that live near me to talk about. I wish Doug watched it so we could talk about it.
I am thinking that the older two will go to the grandparents but I don't know about Harrison. Do you think this ending was always the plan? I was so surprised. I am thinking he would get a nanny but at the same time I think next season is going to be REALLY dark so maybe Harrison won't be in it at all. I really do not know.
Do you think that for sure it is real that she is dead? I do but I see murmurs online of people saying they hoped it was a dream. I think it is too good of a show for them to go back on it. Man, I am going to watch it again after the kids go to bed tonight.
Yeah, ITA about it not being a dream. I think that would be LAME. I just cannot figure out where they are going. I think they might do Rita as a ghost a la Harry but I'm not sure. I love that they went there.
I just wonder what will happen with the kids next season. So awesome.

also wanted to say - I am typically super annoyed by john lithgow and I found him to be amazing and brilliant on dexter. Totally changed my opinion of him.

should be good. i was thinking of the possibility that he would clean things up to be good for his son, realizing that his ways got his wife killed. but, you are probably right because if he cleaned up there would be no more show

I can't wait to find out what happens next--will Dexter call 9-1-1? If he does, will they search his house and his shed? If he doesn't, how is going to explain that Rita is gone? Is he going to start teaching Harrison the code? Is Debra going to think it's all her fault or that Trinity was really looking for her? He did break into her house first.

I have watched this episode probably 4 times since it first aired. I thought it was amazing. Totally didn't see it coming either and I love that about the show. I am anxious to see what happens. I don't know what I am going to do...we only had the channel because it was a free trial also. I never pay for premium channels but this show is so good I'm considering it!
