Ok, so I still have christmas shoping to do (to which I will add I have had NO help with ideas or shopping and I am starting to stress because I am struggling with my 14 yo) Ok...that said, I always get my kids done and it all works out.
So, the other night, my mil gave me $100 and asked me to get something for Christopher. Last night, my dad gave me $200 and said can you get something for your mother ($100) spend $70ish on Allyson and $30 on Sarah (he was sick kast week and is finding himself tiring easily so he got some stuff, but can't figure out what to buy for my 14 yo).
AND, he showed me what he got for Christopher, and I also got him the Imaginext dinosaur playset, so now I will take mine back and find something else
I have enough to do, nevermind everyone elses shopping.
On the plus side, a friend who I coach with (field hockey and bball) emailed me this:
Hey, I was thinking about you today when I was cooking supper. Of all the people I know you could seriously use a break. You are always running around for your kids. "Super Mom"
I have a recipe I want you to try, but I would like to make it for you to give you a night of cooking off.
It is Chicken pot pie and apple crisp for dessert.
for someone as anal retentive as myself, i'd almost prefer people give me money to shop for the kids, just so that i know that they won't end up with crap, or repeats.
nothing peeves me like an after christmas return.
so sweet that your friend stepped up though, i'm going to have to do that for a couple of my favorite peeps. what a sweet idea.
that's really annoying (and so sweet of your friend). i am getting annoyed with christmas stuff myself lately - i am so tired of doing everyone's thinking and everyone's legwork. then DH had the nerve to tell me that the kids didnt have a "big gift" - i was like "um, then go think of one and get it, what do yo want from me" - ug.
I am known as the deal queen and online shopper in my family so I have done lots of shopping for my mom, John's aunt and exchange gifts for all kids on John's side of the family.
I am like Dorian though in that I love it because I am getting to pick out everything for my kids.
