Couponers update!

I just bought a printer last night so I could take advantage of some of the deals on this woman's blog I am following - it makes it much easier for me.

The other thing I am loving is actually eating brand name food (I have ALWAYS had the generic food, but I am finding w/ coupons and planning, the name brand stuff is cheaper.  (My cats are eating better too ;)

I am also finding that I need to cook - I got four bags of fresh spinach free so I need some casserole type dishes to freeze.  (Hopefully, you can...I have no idea!)

last/this week was my first time actually trying out the Walgreens deals and I think I did really good!

here are my spending/savings for the past three weeks:

that blog looks really good! i wish i could find someone near me to give me the scoop like that! LOL!

i'm still doing pretty well - i just wish i weren't obsessed with it like i am, LMAO! hopefully the novelty will wear off soon

i had a pretty good day today - i hit 3 stores. at walgreens, i bought 2 triaminic strips & 3 candy canes and paid $2.07 (but also earned $5 RR). at cvs, i bought 2 crest toothpastes & sudafed & a hangtag for my reusable bag (it earns ECBs) and paid $0.87 (and earned $5.50 ECBs). then i hit my grocery store and i got 2 packs breyers yogurt, 4 packs rayovac batteries, 6 wet ones, 3 bacon, and paid $5.52.

so i spent a total of $8.46 on the items below and brought home $10.50 in Qs for my next purchases!  i saved $71!

Great deals, April!!  what stores do you shop at for groceries?  I know grocery store ads are regional, but is walgreens pretty much the same?

i shop at shoprite, which is local to NJ.  my store doubles Qs to the max of $1.  so if i have a 50c it doubles, 75c adds 25c to make it $1.

from what i'm reading, MOST wags are the same, with the exception that some of them seem to not do the 4 day sales.  not sure.

i don't buy much at wags/cvs, but when there's a good deal, i try to snatch it.

also, the cvs forum on AFC gets the ad sneaks EARLY!  they already have the one for 12/20 up and it is a GOOD one!  i'm ordering Qs today and here's what my list looks like:

we don't have a cvs here yet (it is set to open soon though so I am keeping my eyes open for it....i can't wait!)  i really like the drug store deals since those things are sooooo expensive.

I'm not a hardcore couponer but I was pretty pleased with myself yesterday. I went to Hallmark with the printable coupon Corey shared and I also had a $2 reward certificate. I went for a necklace for my niece, with both coupons the necklace cost me .57 yahoo! I need to go back and get one more with another $5 coupon and that one will cost me 2.57 instead of over $7. I don't know if you girls that have been doing Hallmark have seen these but they are really cute! Pretty little necklaces in little boxes everything from butterflies to whales! So cute. $6.99 and I got Hannah one as a stocking stuffer. Perfect.
