Well I am not really sure. We normally do not do many for Christmas. Our anniversary is on the 30th and I want to go away for the weekend or something. So, we or should I say am not getting him much. We always say we will not and he gets me more then he should.

So far the only thing is cologne and a little remote helicopter. He is honestly impossible to shop for. Anything he really wants now is way out of my budget and major purchases.

I may sign him up for a beer of the month club. Does anyone have any recommendations of who to go through or have you done this before?

Our anniversary is the 30th too!  This also happens to be Mark's birthday.  So I just buy a few things and then deal them out as I see fit.  He wants a jumbo mug, a sport watch, a snowmobile (which I would NEVER buy for him) and I got him a new winter jacket with our business' logo.  I'm thinking new cologne may be in order too.

I like how he throws in the snowmobile, lol. It is a crazy time of year for an anniversary, but I love it. Then my birthday is Jan 3. Talk about all at once.

I got Mike a firepit.

He's wanted one forever but never actually goes out and buys one.

Not sure if he's going to love it but I got a great price on it and it's returnable! LOL

He's also getting the standard underwear and socks.

Strangely enough, I got Ed a firepit too!  We are planning to redo the back yard this coming year (still not sure if it will include a pool), and I thought he'd really like a firepit, lol.  I also got him a few other small things - a Yankee Championship sweatshirt, a hat, a golf umbrella.

i considered a firepit for mike's bday actually - i still revisit the idea now and then, and i know he'd like one.  so funny.  yankee championship sweatshirt is a GREAT idea.

If you don't want to spend money on a club another alternative is to go to Cost Plus and get him a 12 pack or case of beers from around the world. Or they have ones with just cool beers from different regions. If you have a cost plus near you that is.

yeah our annivers is mid january.  ug.  so funny that you forgot what he said - that's such a thing i'd do.

i ended up taking advantage of jcrew's 25% off sale this weekend.  i ordered three work shirts, a sweater, and two thermal longsleeved shirts.  and of course the girls got a shirt each from crewcuts (i freakin love their stuff).

i also ordered him brookstone slippers for the kids to give him.

i'd like to get something more personal but i'm just not thinking of anything great. i love the firepit thing but i feel like he needs to have some input. i need to think of other stuff.  at least one other thing, anyway.

nothing!  :woohoo

we never exchange gifts - and that is just fine with us.  we get stuff for each other during the year - we have other gestures to show love and affection.  christmas is all about the kids, just the way we like it!

(we dont do birthday or anniversary or other presents either... though we did get stuff for each other on our 30th and 40th birthdays...)

 ditto
