So tomorrow we are getting up early and going to Breakfast with santa at one of the malls here. I guess the kids wake santa up and have breakfast and prezzies and everything. They said last year the kids loved it so we'll see. Down side of this is getting up early to be there by 9.
Juliette dumped a gallon of milk on the hallway carpet over a month ago, and after much cleaning, deordorizing, etc, it STILL stinks. I hate walking into my house and it smelling like sour ass.
DH and I are discussing getting laminate flooring (we can't afford hardwood), because the carpet on this whole floor needs to be replaced. With multiple animals and two kids, carpet is a bad idea.
Does anyone here have laminate flooring? Does it hold up? I'm also worried of it being super slick and fake looking.
I have hardwood here and would go back to laminate in a split second. You can get good looking stuff for a great price. It's easy to clean and not even my dog could destroy it.
I still have all of my maternity clothes, though I HOPE that by the time I need them again (God willing), they will be too big and I will have to buy new ones.
The big thing? I have an autoimmune disease that will require lifelong medication and management. Fabulous. Of course, it may have happened eventually anyway, but the pregnancies and subsequent antibiotic use is what triggered it.
I have a scar, of course, which has what I now because of Kelly, call the sweet spot. Man that area gives me the heeby geebies when it is touched. Ick.
My feet are bigger. I went up 1/2 a size and now wear an 8.
That is about it. I lost the weight i had gained with both of them quickly, and didn't get too many stretch marks. And my periods and moods were all fine too. All of those things changed because of prednisone, so I can't blame it on the kids. Thanks to that horrid medicine, I still have 35 extra pounds, more stretch marks than I can count, weird cycles and hormonal rage.
Toni, we have laminate, and it is great. Easy to clean and care for. I am SO grateful we have it-if we didn't, the carpet in the hallway would have been completely ruined with Anna's recent stomach virus. Seriously, it would have been way too much to even bother cleaning, and our entire house would smell like puke now.
Prolapsed uterus and weakened rectal muscle.LOL I still have my night gown that I took to the hospital and never used. I used it a lot after she came home.

We have laminate. My uncle(also landlord) owns a flooring store and my brother(professional installer) said we could do just about anything to it and won't damage it. We also have real in one of the bedrooms and there isn't a big difference IMO. I will never go back to carpet.
My husband can be such a dumbass sometimes; he is saying we should just replace the patch of hallways that was damaged now, and wait and do the rest next year.
That's right, friends- we would have a 3 x 3 laminate square in the middle of the otherwise carpeted hallway.
I seriously wonder if he's like this because of all the dope he smoked in high school.

Thanks to my pregnancy with Colin I have Hashimoto's which is an autoimmune disorder of the thyroid. Mine no longer works. Yay for me! Lifelong meds here too! My endo thinks I've had it all my life and either no one picked up on it until after I had Colin or it was dormant until I got pregnant and all the hormones kicked it up into gear. Either way- after 4 years, I finally have mine under control and dialed into the right dose.
I have a c-section scar that I wear with pride. :) Its very small anyway b/c I had a brilliant surgeon at the helm!
Uhm. A small bald spot from my hair falling out this time around but my hair is even thicker this time around then when I walked into my pregnancy with Addy- which can be a bear sometimes b/c it takes two hair bands to hold it up.
But, I did drop 60lbs.
Migraines.
A fading libido.
And ginormous boobs that I wish would please, please, please go away.
But- I got two of the most beautiful children. And I think Addy's hair is starting to come in red. Or at least that's what DH is telling me!

My husband says, "No, you do the whole hallway."
We'll come help. I think my MIL would like that. She's over in Appleton. But its WAY too cold for me so I'll just send my DH to help your DH.
And when those two are done come do mine. I hate carpet. I want to skate around the house in my socks.
Yes, I am quite juvenile sometimes. But that's my curbside appeal.
I'm starting to think my DH didn't smoke enough dope in HS--- he's still too anal. (sorry, dear)
