Need help making Mulan Costume
Permalink

We have a banquet coming up that is move-themed.  I work on a staff with 7 females and one male.  We are dressing up as Disney Princesses and Prince Charming.  I've chosed Mulan, though not one of the traditional proncesses, is more my style.

I need some help thinking about how to put together the costume.  I have 2 left hands, lol, and no creativity in that area.  I can't break the bank on this, so creative is key.

Anyone with ideas?

I have a couple of ideas, but it also depends on if you have these things available to you.

You could wear a pink satin type of robe with yoga pants under it.  Buy or use a couple of silky scarfs or sashes to tie around your middle (you could also buy a small strip or two from the fabric store.

You could also try using a silky type of pajama set and then using the sashes around your middle to create the robe look.

Maybe use ballet slippers or slippers in the ballet style for your shoes.  Buy a cheap tiara for your head (target did have them for buck and often you can find them in a dollar store).
